I would say, though, that my favourite Queen song (also one of my fave songs of all time) was released as a single. Would be a shame not to see that in the game but I understand the logic of a game of album-only tracks. My thought was that most of the singles will be covered in the various chart games. There's no reason why we can't do a game of all, or a select group of, the Queen singles at some point though.

ladyfiona 2,793 Posted January 19 Does anyone have any classical music requests? I'm a bit piano heavy right now. Try and have it under 5 minutes please, lol. Can be from the last 400+ years considering I have Bach listed and he was around 300 years ago. I might throw some gregorian chants in.

She's a Japanese voice performer who I saw in Manchester in 2019, sounds absolutely amazing especially seeing her live, even got to speak to her before the gig.

I'm halfway through and her music seems quite hypnotic.

Bibliogryphon 9,774 Posted Thursday at 08:41 Should we keep a running tab of future games so people will know when they are up If I am right the schedule is 1. Classical Music @ladyfiona 2. 21st Century Oscar Winners (Bibliogryphon) 3. Queen singles @AstroKat How long do people think we should have between the same person being allowed to enter a new category and should that be in time (3/6 months?) or number of games (5?)?

My word but you're an organised chap. I'm more 'can I be arsed to vote in whatever shows up in unread today or not?' and that's as far as it goes. Still, if I need some office furniture parts (I'm still guessing about this, without appearing to be stalking....) I'll definitely be in touch, no room for slapdashery if I have to spend actual money.

To be honest, I think I was at a loose end one day and saw you'd posted visting some conference, you seem to do a bit of flying. So I looked up the conferences in the place you were going and the only one I found was about castors on chairs or something similar I forget exactly now. This isn't helping is it? Looks even more like stalking now - I mean it's ok to do detective work for the dead to help in the relevant thread here but I don't think we're supposed to do it for members. Ah well. I won't be knocking on your inbox anyway, I just spent an unconscionable amount of money on one of those Herman Miller Aeron chairs and my budget for such things is now exhausted until about 2035.

When I write my list for non-charting Queen songs I was planning to make a list of the charting singles at the same time. Don't really mind which game we run first, but we should definitely have a handful of games in-between, 5 games seems reasonable to me. Keeping a tab of upcoming games is also a good plan.
TQR 14,561 Posted Thursday at 18:19 I'd like to join the queue, with a special round I shall at this stage simply call 'FFS'.

Or it could just be a simple rule that you can only have one round in the queue at a time. As long as there are a handful of people submitting ideas as we're seeing, that should space things out fairly.

ladyfiona 2,793 Posted Friday at 23:57 I've got 40 classical tunes basically ready to go (if you need more i'll add more). They are a mix of modern to a few hundred years ago. I've even got spotify links so you can listen to them beforehand to get familiar.

ladyfiona 2,793 Posted 13 hours ago Ok, i've prepared the song list for you to listen to before the game begins. There's a Spotify link and a Youtube link. I did it myself specifically because I want you to listen to the right version (some concerts can spread it out longer etc). Grab a cup of tea or a beer and relax into your bath or sofa etc. Some of these will make you feel relaxed and chill, others patriotic, others could give you PTSD because the string section is so intense (i'm looking at you Wagner). If any links are broken then please let me know.
