Wouhou, another hit, finally as he reacted about Jacques Delors' death I thought he could be still alive in 2025 so a good hit... After Delors, Badinter, Dumas' deaths he was one of the last Big name for Mitterrand Golden Age ! I would Say that now the last are Jack Lang, Lionel Jospin, Yvette Roudy...

J’ai bien fait de choisir le doyen des président de l’assemblée nationale dans ma deathlist cette année. Encore une personnalité politique de premier rang qui nous quitte ! (Sorry for the post in French)

I was talking more about personalities from Socialist Party ! But exactly i forgot Edith Cresson, and also Pierre Joxe and Jean-Pierre Chevènement, but since one year a lot of them died frequently. No reasons for that it stops so I would keep an eye especially for Pierre Joxe, Yvette Roudy and Edith Cresson for a 2025 liste.

Why is there both a 'french-deathlist' and a 'french speaking deathlist'. I'm not really knocking it , the whole rest of it is mostly English, but if the same people are just going to turn up twice I'm not sure I understand the difference?

Mermaz was not ont the list, I just reported the News here as this was the only thread from the main forum Where he was mentioned but you’re right En Passant, I said it myself in the past, this one thread should only be about french deathlist candidates and the « french speaking deathlist » about french deaths. I just mistake once :P

At this moment, my eyes are on Alain Delon, Jean-Marie Le Pen and Bernadette Chirac as the best 2025 DL considerations- but the way things are going this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they all don't make it, especially Delon.

I neglected choosing Aimée this year partly because 92 seems to be a rare age death for celebrities compared to other ages (e.g., 91, 93).

From your predictions two months ago : Delon is dead, and I'm pretty sure JMLP and Bernadette Chirac will not see 2025.....Around September or October, Bernadette Chirac could die (her husband, former French President Jacques Chirac died almost 5 five years ago at the same period). Bernadette Chirac is in poor health for many years now. She has been unseen in public since pre-Covid and all I know is that she moves only in a wheelchair. December could be a good period for JMLP since Delors and him have been DL picks and Delors an other famous French politician died in December last year.

I just found out the instagram account of legendary French actress Anne Vernon (b 1924) :

https://www.instagram.com/anne_vernon_artiste/

WHAT AN ARTIST SHE IS ! I love her paintings !

For a centenarian woman, the recents photo of her show that she can live one or two more years easily ! She will see 2025 !

Not compared to his athletic, slender "Ma femme s'appelle reviens" co-star Xavier Saint-Macary who died so mysteriously of a heart attack in 1988 aged just 39.

Blanc never looked in good health tbh, but Macary? Actually, I cannot even think of another celebrity who one day suddenly dropped dead from a heart attack in their 30s, with no known health issues, and who looked healthy until just before. Can anyone else?

Good point, although he was ill months before his death, suffering from coronary artery disease (unknown at the time), and had blackouts, dizzy spells and had been diagnosed with high cholesterol.

Could have been a similar scenario to Macary, just probably not as much of a backstory there as Beckinsale was more famous.

No known major health issues though, and he passed a full medical exam just weeks before his death.

I didn't think it would get so much media coverage : all the tv channel and newspaper are live about it, the Elysee has published a statement, so did Macron and the PM. Anyway, he died from cardiac arrest after an anaphylactic shock in reaction to medication injected during a medical examination. Wonder which one of the Splendid's troup will be the next one to go ?

After Pierre Christin yesterday, another French A-lister gone by tomorrow ?

These news probably belong in the French speaking deathlist though but anyway, I get that it's becoming a French topic here, I don't mind
