This could be a serious ommision

Unless he's talking about the pen name of the famously well hung 'ladies escort' who was always in a hurry.

Bam Bam Bigelow passes away

Written: January 20, 2007

WWE.com has learned that former WWE Superstar Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow has passed away in Florida.

Kevin Doll, the Public Information Director for the Pasco County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Bigelow was found dead early this morning in his home in Hudson, Fla.

"We can confirm that Scott Bigelow was found in his home this morning. At this time the cause of death is unknown," Doll told WWE.com.

Doll also confirmed that the Pasco-Pinellas Counties medical examiner has taken the body and an autopsy will be performed.

Bigelow, 45, worked for WWE, ECW and WCW extensively throughout his 20-year sports-entertainment career. A former ECW Champion, ECW Television Champion and WCW Tag Team Champion, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with Lawrence Taylor that culminated in the main event of WrestleMania XI in 1995.

Stay tuned to WWE.com as more on Bigelow's passing becomes available.

Rather spookily Bam Bam Bigelow has his own thread. His death was falsely reported nearly two years ago.

Always get a few ex-wrestlers dying young each year. Better odds than Roddy Piper, too :D

Just recently I saw one of the official ECW recordings back from about ten or twelve years ago. Bam Bam Bigalo was up against Taz the submission machine. The match was very hardcore itself and with taz performing his choke out maneuver hanging on Bigalo's back he fell to the mat denting a large hole into the ring. If this was intentional I couldn't be sure, but that was the end of this match.

Given the plethora of spellings of his stage name, I'd like to clarify: BIGELOW.

15 years? Blimey. Good wrestler but overcome by mental health demons in the last years of his life. He also was addicted to painkillers after an incident in 2000 when he rushed into a burning house to save a child and wound up in hospital with severe burns himself. Very sad.

Also means some right horrific moments in pro-wrestling history are getting their 15th anniversaries this year too.

5 well known wrestlers dead under 45 2 in a murder suicide. Don't think they'll be a worse year in terms of loss and tragedy, then again wrestling is a crazy business.
