Tuber Mirum 125 Posted April 4, 2005 Although I must protest at Mr Notapotato's somewhat unethical methods... I'm sureI don't know what you're talking about! I don't need to hold a gun to a pussy to get her to show me her chick. Like the new avatar, though. Much less intimidating. BTW: It turns out his late Holiness wasn't a good pope after all! PS: (Don't miss the same chap's views on voting and hell)

Quincy, M.E. 0 Posted April 4, 2005 I read that they sealed the paypal chambers after the great man died. There is still time to catch the killer, although the embalming won't my job any easier! I'm off to tell Sam to clean my instruments.

PS: (Don't miss the same chap's views on voting and hell) Even better than that, check out his 'Contact Me' page. He invites you to disclose your age (<20, 20-40, 40-60, 60+) and your sexuality (heterosexual, homosexual). I can only assume he has written some script that sits on his server so that homosexual emails are forwarded straight to Satan. What a cvnt. Cerberus 302 Posted April 5, 2005 I'm not of a particularly delicate disposition, but I can't say I've been thrilled with all the shots of the Pope's lifeless body lying in state, splashed all over the tea-time news. Pas devant les enfants, and all that. At least the Queen Mum was in her coffin. I wonder if this is part of some time-honoured ritual. Do they have to prove he's dead or something? Didn't you know, he had to pay online to god so he can keep his job, sort of their income tax. And thanks, ATJ! The tape I had at University is well and truly knackered, but now I'll be able to revisit student humour any time I like.
Jimh 4 Posted April 6, 2005 BTW: It turns out his late Holiness wasn't a good pope after all! PS: (Don't miss the same chap's views on voting and hell) Excellent, level headed arguments there from a nutcase who is clearly at the top of his game. Incidentally, I am very disappointed that there have been so few drive by rantings. An obscure nun got more attention than the Pope. He must be well pissed off. football_fan 42 Posted April 6, 2005 I came across an interesting article that listed possible candidates for the next pope. The favorites among speculators are listed below: · Dionigi Tettamanzi, 71 years – Archbishop of Milan, Italy (odds 4.6/1) · Francis Arinze, 72 years – Nigeria (odds 7.8/1) · Oscar Andres Rodriguez Maradiega, 62 years – Archbishop, Tegucigalpa, Honduras (odds 8/1) · Claudio Hummes, 70 years – Archbishop, Sao Paulo, Brazil (odds 8.1/1) · Joseph Ratzinger, - 78 years – Germany (odds 13/1) · Christoph von Schoenborn, 60 years old, Archbishop of Vienna, Austria (odds 59/1) article cbs article
Magere Hein 1,400 Posted April 6, 2005 · Francis Arinze, 72 years – Nigeria (odds 7.8/1) An African Pope for the first time since Gelasius I, who led the church between 492 and 496. Interesting possibility. · Joseph Ratzinger, - 78 years old – Germany (odds 13/1) Archconservative, but looking at his age perhaps 'our man'. Good candidate for 2006. regards, Hein
Cerberus 302 Posted April 6, 2005 If they pick the 78 year old I say he goes straight onto next year's list. It's important to keep these traditions going. Better still would be to select a Pope from the deathlist regulars: Clive Dunn, anyone?

Cerberus 302 Posted April 9, 2005 I must say it was quite an impressive array of Heads of State. In a way though, it was a pity that Al-Qaeda's Man on the Ground couldn't get a bit nearer, we could have had a busy few days on here.
