Hanzem 708 Posted October 8, 2021 Fusa Tatsumi, whose age is 114 years and 167 days, has entered the top 10 oldest living people. She is likely the frailest of all the top 10 (We don't know the condition of Yoshi Otsunari as she used to be anonymous and no photos of her are given publicly).

NICK23 10 Posted October 12, 2021 Deathlist was created after Cary Grant's death (1904-1986). Kane Tanaka is the last person alive, born before Cary Grant.

arghton 6,756 Posted October 15, 2021 Looks and sounds a bit worse than in February when she got to 117, but I think she'll make it to 118 (four months). Randon was already in a wheelchair before her supercentenarian years, can still talk and move her hands. Hasn't declined a lot since then.

Ahahah completely dumb, it’s the YouTuber Tiboinshape (huge name in France but quite controversial). on an other hand, she looks old but fine. Still hope she’ll be the oldest alive one day, she deserves it after having been in the shadow of Kane Tanaka For so long despite her age !

arghton 6,756 Posted October 16, 2021 Died under two months before his 110th, I was really hoping he'd become a supercentenarian. He was exceptionally large for someone his age, didn't lose much weight during his centenarian years. 2

Looks better than Kane now, I don’t remember if we had a video such as this one when Tanaka was 117 and a half to compare ?! now that I saw the video till the end ( I shouldn’t have ruched in) : she still drinks one glass of wine per day, she had a twin sister who died when they were one yo. Apparently she worked as a nurse in a retirement home till her 100th birthday and had to take care of people who where 20 years less than her. She also remembers all the ages of her great grand-nephews and nieces, pretty incredible. It’s incredibly touching to hear her talk, she had a beautiful langage, the one we doesn’t hear much nowadays anymore

Kane has declined since 117th birthday and even more after 118th birthday (ok just remember that only 2 other people have ever reached it), something probably related to the fact that she got ill in the start of both winters. It doesn't seem like she has during the last year as exceptional mental clarity as Lucile who thinks and speaks really orderly. At least, we don't have a recent video with her speaking so much. Actually Lucile seems like she hasn't declined at all in this field. However this doesn't necessarily mean that she will have a longer lifespan. Of course the fact that she is so stable is a VERY good sign for her. She could go far.

The fact we’re using hypothetic shows that we have hope for her (or just that we’re too optimistic ?). Anyway, I would really like to see her reach 119 as Knauss and Tanaka in a near future. I think she may well see 118. only 10 days and she’ll be the 4th ever oldest person, tie with Nabi Tajima.
arghton 6,756 Posted October 19, 2021 Kane has an over twice shorter time (75 days versus 172 days, 97 after his 119th) to 119 than to becoming the second-oldest verified person ever. I think she'll make it to 119 but won't reach the age Knauss was at death.
