Boudicca 702 Posted July 14, 2005 I was quite famous in my day. In my present incarnation, I have been fortunate enough to meet Chas and Dave The skinnier one bit my arse. Are there any witnesses to the fact that that wasn't my original post? I don't want to have to give the "hush money" back! Yup. It first said something about the skinnier one being an arse. There's a rogue editor knocking about, I'm afraid. regards, Hein Perhaps they are trying to frame you, skinny Henry

BrunoBrimley 86 Posted July 14, 2005 Ah the joyful bellyfats of editing bottoms. Congratulations to whoever is responsible. Is BB another victim of this phenomenon, do you suppose? With me it's hard to tell what with the twists I toss in to many of my posts. With me it's always hard to tell what with the twists I toss in to many of my posts. maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted July 15, 2005 Nobody seems to have considered the possibility that some posters here might become famous or have posted years ago and gone on to become notable. I personally am sending out book submissions on a regular basis and surely it is only a matter of time before my self help stunner: Wank Your Way To Wisdom or the gritty novel of a grim Northern life spent in the mines: How Green Was My Sputum become best sellers. You mean they haven't yet? Inconceivable! My fine poetry (in Dutch) hasn't found general acclaim, or a publisher, yet, despite such fetching titles like Kill the Dogs, Hanging on the Christmas Tree and Jesus in Drag. I blame the editors. They have no taste. regards, Hein

lospalmas7 12 Posted July 16, 2005 Oooooh! Are you winner of the 2003 AntiSF Award, J.C. Jones? I understand that your latest "rollicking" book is "plausibly apocalyptic". I'm looking forward to your interview set to feature in 'Australian Speculative Fiction: A Genre Overview' and do hope you'll be attending 'World Con' in Glasgow, Scotland in August 2005 to promote your "must-read for all Sci-Fi fans". maryportfuncity 10,646 Posted July 18, 2005 Still struggling with the novel but today I've sold two t-shirt ideas and got someone famous - about whom I'm sworn to secrecy - to write a forward for another book. This famous person, incidentally, isn't too old and is in very good health so no DL tips to pass on.
