I have never completely understood the complexities of the DLRI, and thought that this might be as good a time as any to try and figure it out.

 

Do aspirations comprise threats? Where the ranter suggests that s/he 'hopes' we all die etc., does this constitute implied possible action? I mean, I could say that I 'hope' young CLS graduates this year (as I'm sure he will...) but does that necessarily mean I'm suggesting that I'm going to track him down and pop his clogs for him?

 

Am trying to learn; from what I understand, the DL is not just entertainment, it's also an education.

I met briefly with Hilary about five years ago. I'm not here to pick fights, just to point out that she isn't very likely to go at all as her spirits have picked up dramatically from not being able to do anything at all. You all can use computers, maybe even get jobs etc. Hilary became a paraplegic aged 27 and had to give up her whole career. Now she's able to do something she enjoys. Have fun, guys.

Our way of thinking was that if she were to fall overboard etc, she doesn't stand much of a chance.

I've only just noticed the wording in the above post. So, if she's paraplegic presumably most of her body above the waist works. If that's the case, then - frankly - leaving her arms still and steering by blowing on a couple of straws is a joke so sick most of the DL regulars wouldn't go there.
