Great news folks!

There is a chance that he may live out the year after all. Now that the bleeding in his brain has been stopped he could mimic the demise of his great friend Yasser Arafat by speading his last period on earth in a vegetative state.

Here's the infrom from CBC:

A surgeon treating Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon says his chances for survival are "very high" now that doctors have stopped bleeding in his brain, but he could be left with cognitive problems.

According to 'The Nostradamus Code' a Middle Eastern leader will die around the time World War Three begins. Incidently, the War will begin when a 'Young, dark' middle Eastern leader nukes New York.

So if the prediction is correct I'm guessing Ariel Sharon will die and the President of Iran will bomb New York.

By the way, the War takes place between 2006-2012.

Too bad it's all a lot of pish.....

Why on earth were the doctors making such heroic efforts to save his life knowing that he wasn't going to have any higher cognitive functions or any basic ability to look after himself? This is simple cruelty.

If he dies, thats 2 hits for my derby deadpool in the first week! By the way, has anyone noticed that his name consists of two female names?

More like one female name, and one washing powder name.

Sharon showing "...some sort of activity in his brain"

(I set 'em up, you tap 'em in...)

However, the fact that he is able to breathe is encouraging, Hadassah Hospital director Dr Shlomo Mor-Yosef said.

"This is the first sign of some sort of activity in his brain," he said.

Nonetheless, the prime minister remains hooked up to a ventilator.

The neurosurgeon who operated on the 77-year-old prime minister, Jose Cohen, has said that although his chances of survival are "very high", Mr Sharon will not be able to continue as prime minister.

Just how many eggs did you count, Lady Die?

The risk of another stroke at this time is probably fairly high though, since the focus is now on recovery instead of prevention I presume.

I think perhaps this may linger on for a while yet...

Too many I'm afraid. I'm still hopeful though .... there are another 355 days for him to have a relapse or another stroke.

Some encouraging stuff here.

Guest dave

this could be merely local stimuli caused by pain sensations rather thasn brain activity..ive been told by a good mate of mine whos dad is a neuro surgeon that Sharons chances of survival are slim and if he does recover he will be a vegetable aftert the brain trauma he suffered. The likelihood is he will die when he comes out of the coma in a few days

Perhaps if Sharon doesn't make it to 2007, we can consider his son?

I mean, there's genetic, and then there's milking the genetics.

Sharon is now out of 'immediate' danger.

Looks like he is going to pull through....for now.

Yes after reading the daily paper it seems Sharon might have lucked

out surviving this massive stroke.

Still no guarentee he'll pull through but he's now out matching the odds.

Always a possibility of another stroke too. He got one in less than three weeks after the first one, and he was being cautious.
