No, what did she say? Lardy said she was fancying the prospect of a bank holiday - to be clear, it was a typical dead pan Lardy joke and not to be taken seriously. Just made me laugh so thought I'd mention it

Sod's Law 443 Posted 9 hours ago You know, it took me until now to realise the corgis are no longer 'the Royal dogs'. Seems they've been demoted. I kind of assumed Charles kept them around after his mother's death because they're that strongly associated with the monarchy as a breed. And weirdly enough, corgis seem to have become more popular as a breed in my personal experience since the Queen died. I never saw so many out with their owners back when she was still going.

The two remaining corgis were a gift to the late Queen from Andrew and Sarah after her last corgi died. She had been reluctant to get any more dogs because at her age she knew they would outlive her, but Sarah promised to give them a home in that sad event. As it happened one of the puppies did die before her, so they got her another.

It was in the 'humour' section but I just think it looks sad:

I don’t think it has much to do with the late Queen Elizabeth but more to do with their photogenic nature in an era of posting pictures online constantly.
