I hope you realise that's a great honour.

Not everyone gets that much personal attention from the mods, and even fewer appreciate it as they should.

I was discussing this recent phenomenon with Mr Boudicca. He is of the opinion that Captain Oates' signature would be even more amusing should it read,

"I am just going outside to make a snowman. I may be some time."

Pat McCormick, comedian on "Tonight" and "Gong" shows, dies at 78

The report says he was funny as indicated by the word comedian.

I've never heard of him. But he's dead.

Derek Hilton

Arranged the Coronation Street theme music, and often appeared as the pianist in the "Rovers Return", accompanying Rita's delightful singing.

Article says "who has aged 78" [sic] - maybe they'll correct it later!

I would but I'm not very good with technology.

King Fahd dead at 84. http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.ad...801033109990004

Have I missed the thread wailing about how ON EARTH we missed this lovely charming world leader???

By the way has anyone noticed that no-one's got a clue how old these maniacs actaully are? I've seen the age of the new Crown Prince given as 76, 77 and 81 so far - and that was only in the first 3 articles I read about it.
