Cup of Tea 3 Posted December 11, 2005 I say its hightime a rapper was shot in a playground arguement. Its been a long time coming but its almost tradition now.Any sugestions on likely victims/future (dead) zillinaires
Rotten Ali 600 Posted December 11, 2005 Don't know too much about rappers but a guy called Suge Knight has appeared on my 50 name list. Other than 50 Cent I see that its much more likely that its the old forgotten music stars that are much more likely to be exiting next year. Fats Domino was in the news this year. Steven Adler, David Crosby, Little Richard, Chuck Berry & Jerry Lee Lewis are all in the frame as could be Charles Aznevour.
football_fan 42 Posted December 11, 2005 I say its hightime a rapper was shot in a playground arguement. Its been a long time coming but its almost tradition now. Any sugestions on likely victims/future (dead) zillinaires I have not been following rappers, but there is one that come to mind: Snoop Doggy Dogg - real name (Calvin Cordozar Broadus) Close friend of the late, Tupac Shakur, who was himself killed by a drive by shooting in 1996. In 2003, he survived a drive by assassination attempt that seriously injured one of his bodyguards. I saw an old article (June 2003) that gives an excellent perspective on this subject, but I was not able to find any more recent articles on it. You are welcome to take a look. Which rapper is going to die next? I hope that it helps. Regards, ff
Tempus Fugit 214 Posted December 11, 2005 Aren't all rappers supposed to be killed in a shooting at some point? Isn't it written in their contracts. Nothing could be more ridiculous than an OAP rapper, even more laughable than Mick Jaggers geriatric gyrating.

Misanthropy-life 3 Posted December 11, 2005 a rapper was shot and killed a couple of weeks back. he wasn't very famous at all though.
Canadian Paul 97 Posted December 12, 2005 Rappers just don't seem to have long lifespans. I was surprised that ODB made it to 35. One exception: Blowfly: The Original X-Rated Rapper is 60.
weatherman90 7 Posted December 12, 2005 Yo.Yo.Yo. Me and ma homies can't come up with any rappers Yo. I don't think they gonna die anytime soon man. It is definately not the shizzle on my bling bling. Got to fly. I would probably end up with my head smashed in if I ever tried to talk like that anywhere that is not in the safety of my bedroom.
Phantom 2,533 Posted April 11, 2006 Rapper Proof (DeShaun Holton) shot dead at a night club. I've never heard of him, but feel free to move this to the near misses thread if needed. [Moved to rappers thread - ff]

Life Begins at 5 o'clock 7 Posted April 12, 2006 Given more time he would have had greater mainstream exposure, but to people watching the hiphop scene, he was pretty famous.

Phantom 2,533 Posted April 12, 2006 David "Young Buck" Brown stands a good chance of getting shot at some point in the near future. I heard a couple of days ago that they're reopening the case on Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G) I always thought Biggie Smalls was just the name of a place where fat people bought their underwear

Rude Kid 3 Posted April 12, 2006 So Proof wasn't Bulletproof then? He actually released an album last year called "Searching for Jerry Garcia". He certainly stands a better chance of finding him now.

Tuber Mirum 125 Posted April 18, 2006 He's right though. It is fairly rude of SFTD to say that about poor old Eminem. Do you think we should give him a warning? "For being rude to Eminem" or something?
