Found this old Charles Lane thread... probably should be merged?

Either way - I'm Banshees Scream and I was the Advisor so there

for Charles Lane is simply my pick.

So just before I had this dream I was walking along and

I came upon a bridge and sitting under it was Windsor

and Elspeth having a tea party and laughing madly.

They seemed unable to communicate with just stomping

there feet and clapping there hands. They were laughing

so madly there tea cups were all knocked on the floor

and they said not a word though I thought I might have heard Elspeth

say "O dear and would you like biscuits with that my pretty"

The laughter grew 10 times louder and in fright I quickly

carried on.

You may be on to something there (except for the brigde, the tea, biscuits and laughing) as I am looking to have 'friendly' status with Entropy.

 

I figure that shes here to stay and so I shall have to make the best of it regardless of our past differences.

I see that you Windsor have finally decided to come to your senses

I think he makes a perfect fit for DL 2006.

 

Although since he is over 100 years old I wouldn't

be suprised to hear about his demise.

We had like three or four threads that got merged into one or two on Mr. Lane. I recall arguing with Banshee's Scream about the merits of Mr. Lane, only to acquiese upon dreaming of his demise. Perhaps they should be merged?

 

Speaking of which, I had funny dream last night. I was living in a hotel and next door was an old economist by the name of "Al Green," who was born in 1906. Except for some reason, he looked exactly like Albert Hoffman and he lived next door to Max Schmeling. He told me that he wasn't planning on dying soon and signed an autograph for me.

 

So what the hell does that mean? Does that mean an old economist (JKG, Friedman), Albert Hoffman or The Rev. Al Green are going to survive the year???

To say the very least i'm disappointed and more bitter then ever that

John Kenneth Galbraith was not included on this years list.

 

I think the DL is trying to have less friction - Since he is one of my main

picks and because they know he will pop off and I will take complete

responsibility regarding that his death I predicted.

 

What a drag this is on my part.

I am with you on that one Banshees. For the second time today I am in complete agreement with you. I feel that it was a mistake to drop J.K. Galbraith's name from this year's deathlist.

I was a bit skeptical about Lane's demise as well until I had that dream. Then I saw those birthday pictures, and he looks pretty terrible in them. Maria Capillova is over a decade and a half older than him and she looks like she could be more than a decade and a half younger.

Ah, that looks better. I see the "Moderation Options" button now, as wel as "Delete" and "Edit". My guess is that when you created this forum, you forgot to get the settings right. Understandable that, on January 1.
