in eternum+ 22 Posted February 16, 2006 Having found some change down the back of the sofa, I was able to conduct further experiments. Results are as follows. Although when you 'ignore' a user their original posts don't show up, rather unfortunately, quoted posts do. Thus: [pleasurable]Aaaaaaah![/pleasurable] becomes [distressing]Aaaaaargh![/distressing]
Lady Die 63 Posted February 17, 2006 S'cuse me being a bit thick here but how do you add your 1-5 star rating to a thread? I've got the hang of the rest of the changes. I have asked the very same question (above). Someone please help!! Also, could someone explain the "warn" thing?

I have asked the very same question (above). Someone please help!! Also, could someone explain the "warn" thing? The rating thing isnt as clever as it looks - it can only be set by Mods and is just simply set at whatever level by one of them and can then be changed by another - no voting or anything like that. Warning system - Mods can issue warnings which get registered on the meter - to be honest I'm not sure what happens when you get too many warnings - presumably there's a knock at your door

It was me that made it a one star rating 'cos it's the most piss boring thread EVER Ah, a mod that's never dropped in on Cliff Mitchelmore or Casper Weinberger's threadzzzzz. I've certainly dropped in on Cliffs thread, not too sure about Caspers though. Cliff's thread was on a response to a question that was asked by someone ( cant remember who though, cant be arsed trolling for it). The dicky O thread is just full of crap, most of which has nothing to do with his health ( or lack of ). If the posts that had nothing to do with him were removed, chances are the thread would only be half as long as it is.
Harvester Of Souls 40 Posted February 17, 2006 Nah! It was me that made it a one star rating 'cos it's the most piss boring thread EVER...... I disagree... ***Deathlist Planned Maintenance*** has gone from being an update on the status of the forum to being a 110 post collection of steaming dog turds (my post included.) It's this level of shite that completely eclipses the Dicky O thread for the title of... Piss poor show

If the posts that had nothing to do with him were removed, chances are the thread would only be half as long as it is. Or less. I've always had the feeling that one of these days the Dicky O thread is going to become so clogged with garbage that it will fester in growing sentience until one day it begins strangling DL members in their sleep. It will be at that point that the remaining DL members will set up a Deadpool about which one they think will go next.
Slave to the Grave 26 Posted February 19, 2006 Glad to see guests allowed to post again (I think), but what has happened to the front page, it no longer shows which members are on the forum, on deathchat or whose birthday it is.

I think it could be that there is nobody celebrating their birthday and no members are on Dead Chat.
Under board statistics, it used to give a list of members logged into the site at any one time. It also used to have a special box for birthdays which said 'no members are celebrating their birthday', if it was no-ones birthday. Last night, there were lots of people on chat but there was no list on the front page.

Canadian Paul 97 Posted February 19, 2006 I also just noticed that the most recent thread in the forums is no longer displayed on the front page, which gives you a hint as to how often I check the front page.

Handrejka 1,903 Posted February 26, 2006 PS I'm not able to get into the chat room. What do I do in order to enter? I had this problem. At the top of the explorer page there should be a thing to click on called "Tools". Click on this, then the "Pop-Up Blocker" tab, which should give you the option of turning off the Pop-Up Blocker, which appears necessary to get into the chat room. We use Firefox and the tool button doesn't have that. Any ideas what I can do now as I really miss the chat room

Any ideas what I can do now as I really miss the chat room Hello handrejka, I have included some instructions for accessing the "Dead chat" room in my post to the Deathlist Howto, URLs, pictures, avatars etc thread right here. Anyway, here is the solution for people who use Firefox: Firefox 1 and above browsers: From the "Tools" menu, select "options" Select "Web Features" Ensure that "Block Popup Windows" is unchecked. Alternatively, leave this option on, but select the "Allowed sites" button and enter deathlist.net in the Allowed Sites list. I hope that it helps.
