Man could easily pass for 70 or 80. I've met much rougher-looking 70 year olds!

Teasley, Greason, and Mays were all going to get together for a Negro League tribute at Rickwood Field this Thursday. Edited June 19 by polar duck

Surely baseball fans, who are a bit obsessive about obscure and old players, would have found many of them by now if they were living? Just to get more than a pair to tomorrow's game? Just to get more than a pair to tomorrow's game? Many of the negro league players were obscure individuals, some only played a few games, some were Cuban and hence disappeared and were untraceable. How many “fans” baseball has as a sport isn’t relevant. Also, still to this day 100+ AAGPBL players were never traced, despite the hype around “A League of their Own”.

Just to get more than a pair to tomorrow's game? A bit of clarification: Greason and Teasley are the last players from when the Negro Leagues were considered Major Leagues (1920-1948). The Negro Leagues lasted well beyond 1948, but Greason and Teasley are the only "Major League" players left.

Note that @Ulitzer95 and I seem to agree, the world is certainly coming to an end as it has for Mays. SC
