millwall32 114 Posted January 19, 2006 Richard has a CV that many actors would envy simply because he kept working and kept earning decent money. But that's not exactly the point. There are others featured as the subject of threads here for whom we show respect because they achieved things. Even a few jobbing thesps like Al - Granpa Munster - Lewis is treated with a certain affection. Brando - for all his excesses and desperate later films - created some work that's undisputably classic. dickie o is a great actor, better than brando by a long shot ! How exaclty did you work that out? What Dickie O performance ranks with Brando's in the Godfather, On The Waterfront, or Reflections in A Golden Eye? Fool. That was actually me accusing him of being a fool. Must have forgotten to log in . Apologies.

I therefore have to say much the same thing about "del torso" too.
Guest King Dickie Posted January 19, 2006 Dickie O is a fantastic actor, Brando on the other hand was an overrated load of shite. Dickie is the greatest sitcom actor of his generation, he has enhanced the life of millions.

maryportfuncity 10,639 Posted January 19, 2006 Noted a few one-shot wonders in the previous dozen posts including one - apparantly - 15 years old. Would a mod care to comment on whether these people have more than one posting address between them?
Guest King Dickie Posted January 19, 2006 Noted a few one-shot wonders in the previous dozen posts including one - apparantly - 15 years old. Would a mod care to comment on whether these people have more than one posting address between them? Dickie O is a suberb actor, he will go down in history as a legend. Who can forget his portrayal of Dick Turpin, Dickie playing Dick fantastic casting. His performances have lifted acting to new olympian heights of brilliance. Larry Olivier had nothing on Dickie, If there's any justice he should get a Knighthood for services to British TV. Arise Sir Dickie O.
maryportfuncity 10,639 Posted January 19, 2006 Ah, another one-shot wonder tryin' to smoke us out. Do us all a favour eh? Try and vary the patter from the 'Dickie O' is great' line. We've taken you on and trashed you on that ground a few times already and much as it would add a few knotches to the thread, frankly, the regulars around here are better than that. Surely even you single celled organisms/Man About the House fans get tired rehashing the same old jokes....or maybe that was always the appeal with Dickie O. Not 100% certain, but I'd take a guess that Alanis Morisette could have written something about this... something along the lines of having ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife... I think King Dickie is more with us than against us. Of course, I could be wrong... it happens frequently...

maryportfuncity 10,639 Posted January 19, 2006 A woman walks into a bar and asks the bartender for a double entendre. So he gives her one! If there'd been one joke that good in Man About the House, I'd have watched more than a minute of it.

maryportfuncity 10,639 Posted January 19, 2006 Cos the bane of my life at on the school bus were fuckwits from the F*****t class who thought it funny and discussed it. Most of them ended up pushing prams by the time they were sixteen and - allegedly - spend their 2006 days scoffing crisps and watching daytime telly. My burning ambition to do something with my life dates from those school bus moments.
