It was all a wind up? Blast, I'd already bought a suit & polished my shoes in preparation for the court case. But the real upset here has to be that, if this were never genuine, then Hawaii Dicky O is not aware of this thread & I think that is a crying shame. So, here is my suggestion- his birthday is up & coming (7th of May) so why not give him a special present from DL? To celebrate his being back on top I was thinking perhaps of printing out this thread & presenting it to him-nicely bound in a big, This Is Your Life styley red book. Furthermore, I think that we should out his greatest fan from the closet & get Maryportfuncity (100 posts in this thread & counting!) to make the presentation-wearing a sequinned Dick Turpin cloak. Nice. And, I don't expect it'd cost very much to enlist Sally Thomsett & Paula Wilcox's services to attend the presentation either, so we could all have one hell of a party. maryportfuncity 10,022 Posted January 23, 2006 Aye, point taken. My thinking on the whole caper is this. Four teams are breaking away at the moment and three will go up automatically. Wycombe for sure, great form and great manager in John Gorman - former Carlisle full-back. The it's down to us, Grimsby and Orient. We've forced our way in, Grimsby have been up top most of the season and Orient are consistent so it'll go down to the wire. Our run in includes games against some obvious bottom feeders towards the end, making it easier than the other teams ends to the season. Nothing is guaranteed and we threw away the chance to go top with an own goal on 93 minutes last Saturday. Yes, unbeaten in 29, yes, (finally) beloved by the press, yes, we could beat records... but as a Reading fan of some 21 years... until it's official, we could still blow it. Hope to do Villa a small favour by knocking out Birmingham Shitty on Saturday I suppose politeness means I should stick to the topic in hand... Hmmm.. Well, Ray Donn appears to be a Charlton fan, according to his CV. I wonder if Dickie O likes football? I mentioned Dickie O to my mother yesterday - same age bracket as Dickie O. Didn't seem too concerned about him being ill, but was convinced Tony Britton was dead. She convinced me so much, I had to go check it again, but she was thinking of Patrick Cargill, I presume. I really enjoyed Richard O'Sullivan's work as a child and am now enjoying the reruns of Man About The House. And, before I am asked - I was popular at school, am not a virgin (far from it) and am a happy well-rounded person, although I do like the idea behind this site, so maybe not so well-rounded I am glad this thread is going and I hope it's a long time b4 RO'S is listed.
