Guest nancy Posted November 13, 2004 i TOO think Joe (mickey rooney) Yule, jr. could make it to 100. he seems involved in life with a positive attitude, has a younger wife to take care of him, has spirituality, was pretty tubby for a while there but shaped up a few years back, and he is SHORT, and shorter folk live longer on the average, whereas extra tall guys live shorter. Mortician 2 Posted January 10, 2005 Looks like a good omission from the 2005 list, Mickey's looking far too spry... Bunch of Rooney Arse Perhaps he'll have Justin Timberlake pull off his towel - and I did say towel...
weatherman90 7 Posted January 10, 2005 Very spry indeed, not many 85 year old men would be willing to flash their saggy cheeks on one of the most watched television events of the year.

Guest Guest Posted January 27, 2005 I got a weird feeling watching the insurance commercial. Mickey looked so bad they wouldn’t even bring him to the foreground for most of it. Time to brush up the velvet.
BrunoBrimley 86 Posted January 27, 2005 It's a well known fact that short men live to at least 100 so it'll be a while.
Josco 49 Posted January 27, 2005 Am I pleased to read that!
Moosey 3 Posted January 28, 2005 It's a well known fact that short men live to at least 100 so it'll be a while. Are you sure about that? Another well known fact is that people get shorter as they get older. So maybe all the old people you see are just tall people who have shrunk, while small people shrink to nothing when they get old and then get picked off by birds of prey. honez 79 Posted January 28, 2005 while small people shrink to nothing when they get old and then get picked off by birds of prey. Well, you learn something new every day... I didn't realise birds of prey ate nothing.

Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted January 28, 2005 What about all the midgets who are so sad that they're midgets they top themselves (e.g. Tattoo/Knick-knack and that one out of Time Bandits)? They didn't live to be 100...
Tuber Mirum 125 Posted January 28, 2005 It's a well known fact that short men live to at least 100 so it'll be a while. So we can forget about Norman Wisdom for a while, then. If it's that well-known why did the DL committe choose a couple of diminutive non-centagenarians for this year's list?

Tempus Fugit 214 Posted January 5, 2006 Mickey Rooney will be appearing at the City Varieties, Leeds on June the 4th this year. Sounds like there's plenty of life in him yet.
