Ed Budde was born in Highland Park, Michigan and died at age 83, and was a professional American football player who played as an offensive guard for the Kansas City Chiefs in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). The number one draft pick of the Kansas City Chiefs of the American Football League in 1963. He was selected to the American Football League All-Star team in 1963, '66, '67, '68 and 1969, and played in six All-Star games. AFL Star. He was selected to the 1969 Sporting News AFL All-League team. Budde was the first offensive lineman to be selected by the Associated Press as Offensive Player of the Week. He was an AFL champion in '66, and Super Bowl IV, both with Kansas.He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles

Bill McColl was born in San Diego and died at the age of 93, and was an American athlete, surgeon and politician. He is best remembered as a college football star before turning professional with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL), for whom he played from 1952 to 1959. He played college football at Stanford, where he was a two-time consensus pick. All-American and third runner-up in 1951 Heisman Trophy voting. In 1951, he was the first person to receive the W. J. Voit Memorial Trophy as the best football player on the Pacific Coast.

Marty Amsler, born in and died in Evansville, Indiana, died at age 81, was an American football defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers. He played college football at the University of Evansville.

Bob Gaiters was born in Zanesville, Ohio, and died on Jan. 5 at age 85. He attended Santa Ana Junior College and transferred to New Mexico State University in 1959. He was a star on the Aggies football team, drafted by Denver Broncos in the 1961 American Football League Draft and by the New York Giants in the 1961 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in the NFL, spending time with the Giants and San Francisco 49ers. Gaiters spent the 1963 season with the AFL's Broncos. He then played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League in 1964, finished his career in the Continental Football League, where he played for the Newark Bears in 1965, the Hartford Charter Oaks in 1966 and the Orange County Ramblers in 1967

Alonzo Johnson was born in Panama City, Florida and died at age 60. He was drafted in the second round of the 1986 NFL Draft and played professionally for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and also played college football for the University of Florida.
