Anubis the Jackal 77 Posted April 6, 2008 Could add Ennio Morricone (b 1928) to that list, although he seems fighting fit, still conducting and composing rather than convulsing and decomposing. Riz Ortolani, (b1931) still around Eli Wallach has his own thread hereabouts, I think. 'Terence Hill' (Mario Girotti) might be worth watching, even if some of his films aren't.
Banshees Scream 110 Posted April 6, 2008 Did some research - This list includes: Actors\Actresses - Writers - Directors and others. Some have nothing to do with this category but they have never been mentioned so I figure 'why not'. I do what I want. Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins) 1924 - Vera Miles (Starred in Psycho) 1929 - John Astin ('Gomez' The Adams Family) 1930 - Jimmy Sangster (Director\ also scripted 'The Curse of Frankenstein 1957 - Dracula 1958) 1927 - Michael Gough (British actor, in over 100 films) 1914 - Carol Marsh (Fantasy\Horror actress) 1929 - Oswald Morris ((Academy award winning cinematographer)) 1915 - Richard Matheson (Big time Science Fiction and Fantasy and Horror screen writer) 1926 - George Clayton Johnson (Science Fiction writer - For Star Trek and Twilight Zone) 1929 - Anthony Hinds (Son of William Hinds, founder of Hammer Film productions) 1922 -
Handrejka 1,911 Posted April 6, 2008 I'd add Dolores Fuller to the list too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolores_Fuller
maryportfuncity 10,682 Posted April 7, 2008 I think there's still life in Hélène Thornton-Bosmen (b 1934) who traded under a number of names in largely forgettable acting roles. Her changing names and subsequent legging it to France make her hard to find online. Her one enduring claim to fame - that of being Paula Yates' mother - should earn her press coverage when she goes. DevonDeathTrip 2,365 Posted April 17, 2008 * Kenneth Anger (1927 - American exploitation director) Good one. According to his (disputed) Wikipedia page: In August 2007 he announced that he is "dying of prostate cancer" and has predicted that his own death will occur on Halloween night 2008
Octopus of Odstock 2,215 Posted April 17, 2008 In August 2007 he announced that he is "dying of prostate cancer" and has predicted that his own death will occur on Halloween night 2008 The full details of Anger's quote can be found here Angry Anger Prostate cancer? I don't know. Loopy as a fruitcake? Yep. But he's always struck me as a good "outside take a chance" candidate for a DP.
BCAlum2000 42 Posted August 7, 2008 What makes a B-star immortal??? Ever since this post was made (4 months ago), many names has past. I've checked them but appereantly they are ALL still alive. While many big Hollywood-stars drop by the minute (Schreider, Renfro, Ledger, Minghella, Widmark, Scofield, Heston, Pollack). The only big B-movie stars who died this year and I can remember off were Vampira, Hazel Court & John Phillip Law. You'd think a star who never had the glory (and the MONEY) couldn't pay the medical bills. Just an observation. Mel Ferrer became quite a B-movie star in the 1970s and 1980s. Last year, we had a ton of B-movie legends pass away. Andy Sidaris, Bruno Mattei, John P. Ryan, and Nicholas Worth all died in 2007. In terms of who might die next, my predictions are Ray Harryhausen and Michael Gough, but that's probably more b/c of age than anything else.
Banshees Scream 110 Posted August 8, 2008 What makes a B-star immortal??? Immortality does not exist. It's a word that is hypothetical for "celebrated".

BCAlum2000 42 Posted October 3, 2008 Cirio H. Santiago, one of the most prolific B-movie filmmakers of the 20th century, has died of lung cancer at the age of 72. When I was a kid, I remember going to my local mom & pop video store, and virtually every week, there's always a new video out by Cirio Santiago. So many memories ... this guy churned out numerous entertaining B-movies by the dozens. They range from post-apocalyptic Mad Mix rip-offs to martial arts kickboxing flicks, to Vietnam War era jungle movies. I had a ton of fun watching his movies. Thanks for the memories, Cirio.... http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/inquirerheadl...iago-dies-at-
TAFKAG 70 Posted February 21, 2009 It's a grave situation for the 'poor man's Vincent Price', Robert Quarry.
Vaagheid 141 Posted March 27, 2009 Also better fitted in the Stars of B-Cinema thread. Spanish Werewolf-actor (Who I thought died ages ago) Paul Naschy is apparently still alive. http://www.naschy.com/ He even got his own English fansite (Not even Jeroen Krabbé or Franco Nero have that questionable honour)
