time 8,626 Posted October 24, 2011 As a fun little diversion, why not see how many people were alive on the day that you were born? (N.B. Only works for post-1951 birthdays) It was a shade under 3billion when I surfaced.

Rotten Ali 600 Posted October 24, 2011 3,293,662,293. Again less than half of today's figure. No wonder it's called the people bomb! Can't see how we can all go on living the easy life with so many people competing for fewer and fewer resources?
Magere Hein 1,400 Posted October 25, 2011 3,293,662,293. Again less than half of today's figure. No wonder it's called the people bomb! Can't see how we can all go on living the easy life with so many people competing for fewer and fewer resources? We can't. As W.L. Brugsma, a dead Dutch journalist, once remarked: there's only one environmental problem: people. This will be the biggest problem of the 21st century and it will solve itself. It doesn't look like people can curb their repruduction enough to reverse this population growth, so war, famine and pestilence will do the work. This will happen when the supply of crude oil (and cheap transport of goods) runs out around 2050, if not sooner. It will not be a pretty sight. regards, Hein

Who'd have guessed that the 77,296,266,120th 'person to have lived since history began' would have been the greatest? That must be a 100/1 shot, at least. Lady Grendel 139 Posted October 30, 2011 Album covers come alive Quite clever I thought and I've owned most of them. Posting this to test the new software on links, it seems to be a straight link though and not to a word and no post preview?.
