Guest Popfan Posted April 14, 2012 Right at the end of that article from The Sun there is a statement from Carol Cooper, the paper's general practitioner: ROBIN will not be able to move of his own will now — or respond to any stimulation, whether it’s touch, pain, or the voice of a much-loved relative. One can assume his coma is the result of the cancer that has probably spread to the brain. But it can also be caused by an overwhelming infection. In either case, he would be very unlikely to recover. He may remain in a coma for days or he may breathe his last quite soon. Nobody can really make such predictions. His family will now want to spend time with him and say their goodbyes. Patients who appear unconscious and unresponsive can often still hear.
