Glad you got your 2nd hit on your shadow list.  I remember back when I saw your list and thought you had a very good 50.  I only had two hits as well.  I started off strong having both my hits happening around the first part of January. But last part of January and all of February has been a slow one for me.

Japanese prime minister Tomiichi Murayama turns 100 today.  I also hope he makes it to 102 in two years just like Al Jaffee and Ken Potts did last year.

Don Johnson died in September 1965, aged just 44.

Death record.
Newspaper clipping.

Means that Charley Trippi (b. 1921) is undoubtedly the oldest living NFL player, with the second oldest being Pete Wismann (b. 1923), and the third being Dub Jones (b. 1924).

Pete Wismann (wiki) died in September 2023, aged 100, with news of his passing confined to a mention here.

Dub Jones, 99, is now the oldest NFL player. Will turn 100 if he lives to December. I actually think he's big enough to secure a QO, though he's not a DDP pick.

EDIT: I THINK Bob Hainlen (wiki), 98 in December, is the 2nd oldest living NFL player.

Well as reported, Addold Mossin died at the age of 104.

Just checked and his wife Hilma Nerep-Mossin (Wiki), an Estonian-Swedish pianist is still with us, 101 this September. Her father was Verner Nerep

Thanks. Updated the Who's Who list I posted in Feb. Also scored off Dannatt, Lam, Christensen, Gutfreund and Wallace who have also died.

These names are useful for DDP purposes as quite a few will score QOs as unique picks.

Francis Jackson CBE b. 1917 / Organist and Master of the Music, York Minster, 1946–1982
Karl-Günther von Hase b. 1917 / German Ambassador to the UK, 1970–1977

Dame Frances Campbell-Preston b. 1918 / Lady-in-waiting to the Queen Mother, 1965–2002
Sir Lloyd Geering CBE b. 1918 / New Zealand theologian
His Honour John David Hayman BEM b. 1918 / Circuit judge
Prof. Brenda Milner b. 1918 / Neuropsychologist / 2021 DDP unique pick

Captain Alwyne Farquharson MC b. 1919 / Chief of Clan Farquharson and Scotland's oldest clan chief
Prof. James Lovelock CBE b. 1919 / Independent scientist known for coining the Gaia hypothesis / 2021 DDP pick
Sir Humphrey Moon, 7th Baronet b. 1919 / Aristocrat
Leslie Reid b. 1919 / Diplomat
William Good Robinson b. 1919 / Deputy Secretary, Department of the Civil Service, Northern Ireland, 1978–1980
Victor Ross b. 1919 / Chairman of Reader's Digest, 1978–1984
George Girdwood Stewart MC b. 1919 / Decorated veteran and Cairngorms conservationist

Times death notice for Stanley Clayton, aged 104.

Spoiler

CLAYTON Stanley died peacefully on 28th February 2024 after a short illness, aged 104. Town clerk and C/E of City of London Corporation 1974-1982. Much-loved husband of Jean, father of Neil (deceased) and Nicola, grandfather to Jack and Tom. Funeral on 11th April at 11.30am at Oakwood Church, LS8 2QA. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired would be appreciated for the British Heart Foundation. All inquiries to W Kaye and Son Funeral Directors, 0113 270 0553.

This means there is now nobody born in 1919 and still alive listed on Who's Who, with just Geering and Milner living from 1910s births.

Updated with all the suggestions given to me. That's a pretty long list. I didn't think there were nearly as many living centenarians with acting credits.

Thank you @Gisooo.

I've updated and also just added the Class of 1924 (23 names in total).

Additions welcome!

I said this a year ago when the list was first made, but it seems to have been overlooked. Caren Marsh Doll (b. 6 Apr 1919, American).

From 1924 you may add

Alice Toen (Wiki) - Belgian actress

Donald Pelmar (IMDb) - British actor

Walter Bingham (Wiki) - Israeli journalist and actor

Alfred Hoffman (IMDb) - British actor

Rita Bibeau (IMDb) - Canadian actress

Cecilia Paroldi (IMDb) - French actress

Erich Conrad (IMDb) - Swedish actor

Christy Palmer (IMDb) - American actress

Fada Santoro (Wiki) - Brazilian actress

Nora Houfova (Wiki) - Austrian actress

Also I believe that Georges Riviere (Wiki) is still alive. Les Gens du Cinema seems very reliable and they list him in the list of living French actors. His wife is also an actress and they are still living in France

I don't know if you accept any actor, but Belgian actress Alice Toen (wiki, 25 July 1924) is still alive. Big name over there, and she was interviewed last month.

Thank you. All added, including Georges Rivière, even though I think that's a bit of a risk.

Going to be a nightmare finding news of the deaths of Alfred Hoffman and Donald Pelmear if we can't get access to Equity magazine anymore.

Due to his connection to classic Doctor Who (The Time Warrior as Prof Rubeish), I would imagine that Donald Pelmear's death will be reported by the likes of Toby Hadoke and the associated fandom.

You say that but a lot of Doctor Who cast and crew members die off radar every year.

I doubt Pelmear will go off the Radar, and if he does it wouldn't be for that long, Hadoke is in contact with him and he is still active. Both him and Laurie Webb usually send thanks out via Hadoke when it is their birthday. Although I would have said the same for the likes of Conrad Asquith and Vilma Hollingbery.

In regards to Hoffman, because of his arguably more famous wife, I think his death will be publicised.

Turns out Scotland's Alexander McAllister (wiki) was never the world's oldest living first class cricketer. He died off radar in Sunningdale, Berkshire on 29 January 2008, aged 87!

Both Cricket Archived and the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians have updated their profiles for McAllister to reflect this, and his record is in the GRO Index.

The fact that McAllister is long dead means there are no known centenarian first class cricketers currently living – this is quite rare. William Faulkner (b. 1923, wiki) COULD still be alive, but there's no evidence. Arjunrao Bharbhare (b. Jul 1924, wiki), John Stenton (b. Oct 1924, wiki) and P. M. Anandan (b. Dec 1924, wiki) are the next three names on my "possibly living" list.

The oldest first class cricketer definitely still alive that I know of? Probably Basil Rigg (b. 1926, wiki).
