The Hare's Death Pool

On New year's day already I was wondering why I didn't pick him for the Deathrace. Well, at least I get something for him here.

Three teams store up the first three figure score of the year with Mitzi Shore. Not a joke.

A quick scan of the teams indicates 7 teams agreed that First Lady means first to die. Barbara Bush stacks up some points.

I could of course name the additional teams who picked George Bush Senior and had Barbara on their subs bench......??????

On a rather more sombre note, that means that Deathray has left me all alone in the changing rooms as he heads out on the track. On the bright side, the changing rooms have lockers full of purses, wallets and slightly worn underwear, which I shall get round to once the box sets are done!

The vast majority of my team seem to be holding its own and not scoring in the first half of the year. The kicker, of course, is when none of them score in the second half as well...

Ah, remember your run didn't kick in for a while last year though.

Had a look at your team...I'd say you have possibly 6 hits to go. Pray for their health, and stop praying round about the beginning of November.

On the other hand, I have as many hits here as I do in the Inverse Pool! I don't know which I prefer!

Out of interest, which six do you think are most likely of the surviving members?

Bush Snr; Overton; Ricksen; Benedict and Tajima. In that order.

Edit: wait a minute that's only 5. Slip Cocks in there somewhere. (If that's not an innuendo....)

One down.

Anyway, now we've finally got somewhere assuming the Express hasn't fucked up, I make that 5 teams who have a hit with Tajima. From my fully verified records. Or should that be validated? Oh who cares, an old old person is an easy hit.

NEXT!

New leader!

Yesterday I realized that Cpt. Chorizo has a REALLY strong team.

Having a look at his team, it does look quite strong. His wild card may not be the best choice however...

Hmm, the Captain is not my favourite to win. (Which means he probably will win ha!),

My favourite was notified when the teams were submitted...I may reveal who at half time, maybe not.....:D

Ah, not me then. :D

EDIT: Have a suspicion on who the favorite might be though.

msc finally relinquishes his iron grip on the lead, and gcreptile takes over the mantle of "He Who Must Be Challenged".

Meantime, I'm having Maytime Tiffin delivered to the changing rooms, and leafing through old copies of National Geographic......:reading-glasses:

Thanks Book, I'll have a trawl through and add to the Masterlist. If I have any queries, I'll let you know.

Astonishingly, there is one name on there that's on my DDP team. I never thought I'd see it mentioned. You know the drill, if YW has picked them, they will live.

More astonishingly, I was even wrong then!!!

Points for both of us then!

My thoughts about her: She got an Honorary Oscar, that's it then. So watch out for Donald Sutherland and Jackie Chan :D

I make it eleven or so teams invested in a Tessa and Jowell's death means some political point scoring.

Well, it's certainly an obituary. I'm inclined to allow it as it's from Legacy.com...specialist website? Gawd, why do you make things difficult?

No no.... looks like I need newsprint.  We shall wait.  Other cancer blogs have it.  But that's where we are at presently.
She was a huge Mariah Carey fan and met her etc.  Here's Mariah's Tweet.  That's not a euphemism...LOL....
Please allow me to be the only person in DP history to have Mariah Carey as a qualifying obit source.  :)  oh that's rich.

It's allowed, but if you find a newspaper/specialist mag, that would be better. Start petitioning the Daily Mail before I have hordes of players demanding a recount....

Breast Cancer Research Foundation (well FB page at least).  Trust her to die on a busy weekend (Mother's Day here in the States) and while on foreign soil.  She was at a wedding though, so sob story, maybe a Monday/Tuesday obit once people back to work.

LOL heaven forbid I get points for her....I may move into 15th place! LOL
