A gunman killed a reporter and cameraman while they were doing a live news report in Franklin County, Virginia, Wednesday morning. CBS News confirms that WDBJ-TV reporter Alison Parker, 24, and videographer Adam Ward, 27, were killed. The incident took place at Bridgewater Plaza in Franklin County. Parker was interviewing Vicki Gardner, head of the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce, when gunshots begin to ring out. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted August 26, 2015 Bloody awful !Does anyone know if this is the first murder ever on live TV (excluding state executions and terrorist attacks)?I was at work so didn't see it at the time but the Detroit news feed is quite famous for being live when the second plane hit the tower on 9/11. I know it's not totally to the point but hey. I would think there are a few of these incidents now and again of reporters et.al dying on a live feed (weather reporter's helicopter crashes I know of a couple), but a murder?
