Great stuff! I will ping this to IMDb and update the list on page 11.

Looking at Spokeo.com... there's four people called Jack L. Rader who are 84. One lives in Lancaster, California (likely him) and the other two in Kentucky and Tennessee.

Probably safe to assume the Cali one is him?

I think the Lancaster, California one is him, as the spouse matches from that 1961 marriage story.

Now, for Wesley Gale, another tough one. He was definitely better known in the 1980s up until the late 1990s as an artist/collector/curator in Los Angeles under the name West Gale (https://7thsonproductions.org/index.php/2018/01/08/west-gale/). A 1992 article states he is 70 years old, so the 1921/1922 DOB is probably right. Full name appears to have been Westley Aubry Gale/Aubry Westley Gale. Cannot seem to pick him up in Social Security Records or any recent public records, so unclear of his current status, though nothing since around the early 2000s (he is known as West A Gale/West Gale in those listings). I'm sure the LA arts community might probably know something further on his status (or perhaps there is a probate record somewhere), but there doesn't seem to be much to be found online, at least.

Shirley Johns - the attached clipping from the Des Moines Register, 30 Mar 1947, pg 30 states that her birth name was Shirley Johnson, daughter of Dean and Margaret Johnson, born on a farm near Ottumwa. That perfectly matches with a Shirley Imogene Joan Johnson, born 3 Mar 1931 (day/month is correct to the IMDB records, but the year is not) in Wapello County, Iowa to Maurice Dean LeRoy and Margaret Alberta (Gardner) Johnson in the Iowa Birth Records. Her mother later remarried and was known as Margaret Gardner Sessions at the time of her death in 1985; her obituary lists her daughter as Shirley J Thompson of San Diego. Not conclusive, but I believe Shirley's most recent residence might be Santa Ysabel, California per public records and is likely still alive.

Audrey (Bratty) Strauss - per her father's 1978 obit her later surname was Cox. There's a family tree that gives her YOD as 2016 but I can't find anything further: https://www.myheritage.com/names/audrey_bratty

Marilyn Cooper - daughter of Edmond Burdick Cooper (d 1928) and Beulah Williams. Her mother later married Arthur McKillop Gillespie, and Marilyn used the name Marilyn Cooper Gillespie at the time of her marriage in 1948 to Sabu Datstagir. She was last living in Pacific Palisades, CA/Glendale, CA under the name Marilyn C Sabu; likely still alive but inconclusive.

Phil Arthur - another one I suspected to be a stage name, and it appears that is the case. His real name was Philip Arthur Guibord, born on November 30, 1916 (not 1923, as he wrote here: https://www.historyforsale.com/phil-arthur-autograph-resume-signed/dc313018) in Plattsburgh, New York and he died on November 14, 2004 per Social Security Records, buried in Nevada (https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/161457570/philip-arthur-guibord).

Name: Philip Arthur Guibord[Phil Arthur][Philip Guibord]
Gender: Male
Race: White
Birth Date: 30 Nov 1916
Birth Place: Plattsburgh, New York
Death Date: 14 Nov 2004

The following clipping from the Brooklyn Daily Eagle (26 Aug 1945) stated he attended the College of William and Mary, and graduated in 1940, which seems to have suggested the 1923 DOB was wrong. It also provides some info about his early schooling, which matches with this additional clipping of Philip Guibord attending Rutgers Prep. There are also multiple references to Philip Guibord throughout the 1930s to 1950s in various acting/theatre roles. His football prowess seems to have been overstated a bit however as there doesn't seem to be corroboration that he was a letter winner at W&M.

And finally, one more. Laura Mason was born as Lillian Romer on 10 Aug 1924 in Santa Cruz, not as Jeanne Lynne Romer. Jeanne Lisa Romer was her twin, who was also an actress, and this person on IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0739263/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t19 (later known Lisa Jeanne Clark).

Laura Mason married Robert Elliot and was later known as Laura Lynne Romer Elliot, died in California on 30 Dec 2011: https://www.mylife.com/laura-elliot/e201500303262 (also confirmed by a social media post by her son). Her sister died on 13 Dec 2012 - I can message you the source @Ulitzer95.

Michael Butler (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0125064/) - referred to as Michael Grayson of Los Angeles in his father's 1969 obituary. Died in 1976:

Name: Michael Grayson

Gender: Male
Birth Date: 13 May 1918
Birth Place: North Carolina
Death Date: 1 Jan 1976
Death Place: Los Angeles

@edm88, this is incredibly good research! Thanks so much.

I've updated all the entries on both page 11 and IMDb as far down as Laura Mason in your findings.

Please ping me the source for the other sister. Can you also send me the link to the obit of Michael Butler's father so I can get that processed too? Cheers!

just watched this interview about a young lady suffering from depression in 1951 who tried to commit suicide. A comment says she died of old age but that’s probably not true. Anyway, I want to know so bad What happened to her as her testimony was so touching... The only informations I found is that she was hospitalised in Verdun Hospital in Montreal in 1951. One comment claims her name is Judy Roswell but not sure at all...

If someone is bored and wants to help me... I’ll leave it here !

(hope it’s the right thread btw)

Another prize with multiple frail and old recipients...

UNESCO Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Prize

Named after Félix Houphouët-Boigny (1905-1993) former dictator of Ivory Coast. Awarded for the first time in 1990.

Described by UNESCO:

"The Prize was established in 1989 by a resolution supported by 120 countries and adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO at its 25th session. It is in line with the philosophy of UNESCO’s founders who, in the preamble to the Organization’s Constitution, solemnly declare that: “Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defences of peace must be constructed.”

The General Conference of UNESCO conferred on the Prize the highly symbolic name of Félix Houphouët-Boigny, the "Sage of Africa". In his lifetime, President Félix Houphouët-Boigny appointed intuitu personae Mr Abdou Diouf (b. 1935), former President of the Republic of Senegal, Patron of the Prize, and Mr Henri Konan Bédié (b. 1934), former President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Sponsor of the Prize.

In establishing this Prize, the General Conference of UNESCO wanted to reaffirm its commitment to peace and dialogue between cultures and civilizations. It desired to endow itself with a significant instrument so as to encourage and honour all those who contribute to bringing about a world of greater mutual support and human fellowship.

In order to achieve the objectives of the Prize in favour of peace, an International Commission for Peace Research was also set up by UNESCO. Composed of eminent figures, this Commission is engaged in an in-depth study on peace, conflict resolution and dialogue among civilizations and cultures."

All human recipients:

1991: Nelson Mandela (1918-2013) and F.W. De Klerk (b. 1936)

1993: Yitzhak Rabin (1922-1995), Shimon Peres (1923-2016) and Yasser Arafat (1929-2004)

1994: Juan Carlos (b. 1938) and Jimmy Carter (b. 1924)

1995: Sadako Ogata (1927-2019)

1996: Álvaro Arzú (1946-2018) and Rolando Morán (1929-1998)

1997: Fidel V. Ramos (b. 1928) and Nur Misuari (b. 1939)

1998: Sheikh Hasina (b. 1947) and George J. Mitchell (b. 1933)

2000: Mary Robinson (b. 1944)

2002: Xanana Gusmão (b. 1946)

2003: Roger Etchegaray (1922-2019) and Mustafa Cerić (b. 1952)

2005: Abdoulaye Wade (b. 1926)

2007: Martti Ahtisaari (b. 1937)

2008: Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (b. 1945)

2013: François Hollande (b. 1954)

2017: Giusi Nicolini (b. 1961)

An odd relic that's still awarded sometimes. From 1991 to 2005 the President of the Jury that decides these was Henry Kissinger.

Real long-shot here: Ishinosuke Uwano. Former Japanese soldier who went "missing" in 1958, was declared dead by the Japanese government, but was found to be alive, well and married to a local in Ukraine in 2006.  Not much in the way of follow-up info out there, and he'd be 98 if he was still alive today.

I tried to research this one last year and found nothing. Likely died off radar.

Someone help me with this one:

2084070217_chhoukrin2.jpg.0499f77b7de34f0ae8998b9831d80a27.jpg

Chhouk Rin (b. 1953?)

From Wikipedia: Chhouk Rin is a former Khmer Rouge commander. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of three tourists, Australian David Wilson, 29, Briton Mark Slater, 28, and Frenchman Jean-Michel Braquet, 27 at Phnom Voar in 1994. In 2005, he escaped to Phnom Penh where he evaded capture because he believed that Sam Bith (1933-2008) and Nuon Paet are the guilty ones.

Talked a lot about in the early 2000s, has a thread. Chhouk was alive in 2013 when this picture was taken. Already in 2004 at the brink of death suffering from malaria, heart problems and tetanus. 2010 he had AIDS, malaria and a liver disease. Was/is kept in the overcrowded Prey Sar prison (500 capacity, 10000 inhabitants)

Another one I couldn't find a recent mention is jail dodger Mam Nai (b. 1934), Kang Kek Iew's (1942-2020) second hand man described as the "most frightening Khmer Rouge individual".

Anyone on here got a good knowledge of NASCAR?

Seems there's only one driver on Wiki who has gone into limbo: Bob Barron (wiki) b. 13 Jan 1921 in Bradenton, Florida.

Can't find a picture of him. There are traces of him on Ancestry but no death. Could be living at 100 but I doubt it. Retired in 1961 so probably just fell off radar.

@Octopus of Odstock, just found this on Newspapers.com.

img.thumb.jpeg.31fc180289272acfca85c20f95fbf62e.jpeg

Rather fascinatingly, he was was also a jailbird before his NASCAR career. His penitentiary/court records are up on Ancestry, so actually did manage to get a photo after all.

Ok, so now my Scavenger Hunt team is in, just for the sake of completeness, can anyone clear something up for me? The 1959 Pulitzer Prize for History winner Jean Schneider (research assistant of Leonard D. White, who she won with) is talked about online (in very basic terms) as still being alive. According to her (very brief) Wikipedia, she was a graduate of Vassar College's Class of 1921 (with link to the College's own confirmation as such), which would mean she was born around the turn of century, making her about 121. So clearly she's dead (and not in my team!) but can anyone (or did anyone?) turf up any concrete information on when she died? No worries if not, just curious.
