I've just read the Guardian's article on him, and I'm shocked at how bad the assault actually was, it's a lot worse than what I imagined given he only served 3 months (and was pardoned).

I wasn't aware of this until just now. I almost ran his merch table last year, but then gig was cancelled when he started his treatment for cancer. Had I known about this, I wouldn't have put my name forward.

Was she touched by him in life?

Back when I was a teenager I loved Peter Yarrow and later in life I found it heartwarming to discover that he loved us teenagers just as much.

He only outlived Carter by 9 days. Still surprised that his pardoning of Yarrow was never mentioned in Carter's obituaries as far as I could see. What on earth was he thinking pardoning him?

Having sex with teenaged girls just wasn't seen as that bad of a thing back then. You would literally have rockstars bragging about it.

Yarrow put a lot of money into Democrat politicians who lobbied Carter heavily for the pardon. I don't know how much Carter looked into the details but it's a healthy reminder that even great people like Carter can make pretty bad mistakes in their life.

Yarrow was also married to Senator McCarthy's niece.
