He had a fish bone stuck in his esophagus. He should stop eating what he finds in the trash bin.

UK Privy Council member. Probably the biggest name in the politics of that country during the last 40 years: He was the Prime Minister of the old Mauritius (1968-1992) from 1982 to 1992 and as the PM of the "new" Mauritius, another 9 years in three different times up until 2017. Navin Ramgoolam (b. 1947) and Paul Bérenger (b. 1945) were PMs between some of his tenures.

Also the President of Mauritius 2003-2012. And the father of current Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth (b. 1961), his successor.

A real Juggernauth. Not many people as experienced in leading a democratic country. Others include Mahathir Mohammad (b. 1925) and Selim Hoss (1929-2024).

that ends a statistically almost impossibly long drought (since Feb 14th) in the top 100 oldest living state leaders list. Someone should statistically die every 15 days and yet it took  111 days

And Mohsin Ahmad al-Aini joins the top 100. Interesting guy, Prime Minister four different times in 1967, 1969, 1971-1972 and 1974-1975. Earliest head of govt of Yemen (Ahmad al-Sayari (b. 1924) and Abdur Rahman bin Yahya (b. 1937) were in-exile heads of govt of the Mutawakkilite kingdom and I'm not even sure if they're alive)

I mentioned him before in a list of pre-1970 state leaders alive.

Not much pictures of him on the internet.

I searched for new photos to try to disprove this but honestly most of them look like they're in very good health. Ben Halim, Morales-Bermudez, Echeverria, Carter, Kaunda, Mwinyi, Napolitano and Murayama (and a lot of others) all look great (or atleast they're not at the brink of death) in new photos posted here a while ago, but others? Here:

Guillermo Rodríguez Lara (b. 1924) in 2020. In other photos it is shown that he is still able to stand and attend events.

Lubomír Štrougal (b. 1924) Also able to stand and walk despite it was lately reported that he has problems with his memory. I'm not sure if this picture is new, but probably 2020/2021

Out of the oldest ones, couldn't find new or somewhat new pictures of Trần Thiện Khiêm or Khamtai Siphandon.
