Would go with Philip Lowrie, Bill Roache seems to be the kind who will go on forever to be honest, the other week he was talking about still being on Coronation Street when he is 100, could see him doing it too, he is 84 next month so we could have another 16 years of Ken on the Street not a great prospect.

Alan Rothwell left an awful lot sooner than Lowrie and then you open the can of worms as to whether Anne Cunningham would merit a place. I suppose a poll of surviving members of the cast in that first episode could be made:
