The first female Supreme Court chief justice of Colorado has died after living for years with multiple sclerosis.

Mary Mullarkey, who was 77, died Wednesday. She spent 23 years on the state’s highest court and 12 years as the court’s chief.

Gwendolyn Faison, a Democratic politician and first female mayor of Camden, New Jersey, has died. She was 96. Faison took over as mayor in 2000 after the incumbent resigned. She served for nine years in the position.

Tunisia's President/dictator Kais "Corpse" Saied has appointed the Arab world's first female Prime Minister today. Called an "obscure official" by Bloomberg News, geologist Najla Bouden Romdhane will assume office at an unknown date in the future. She was the Minister of Higher Education in 2011, did not have a wikipedia page before today. Saied and Romdhane were both born in 1958, Romdhane's exact birthdate is currently not known.

Anne Rudin, the first female mayor of Sacramento, California, has died. She was 97. Rudin led the city from 1983 to 1992. Rudin also served as president of both the League of Women Voters of Sacramento and the League of Women Voters of California.

Tahani al-Gebali, first woman to hold a judiciary position in Egypt (2003, appointed by Mubarak) and former Vice President of the Supreme Constitutional Court of Egypt has died at 71 from covid complications.

She sued (or atleast announced that she'd sue) the NY Times in 2012 after they accused her of cementing the military's power.

Adlene Harrison, the first woman to serve as mayor of Dallas and the first Jewish woman to serve as mayor of a major U.S. city, has died. She was 98. She was acting mayor of Dallas in 1976, having served on city council from 1973 to 1977.

Dottie May Frazier, the USA’s first female scuba diving instructor and dive-shop owner as well as one of the first women to become a hardhat diver and dive-suit manufacturer, has died in California at the age of 99.

Frazier was inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame in 2000 and, at the age of 97, was awarded the US Historical Diving Society’s Diving Pioneer Award.

One of the few ambitions she left unfulfilled was to reach the age of 100, although she came within five months of her goal.

Margaret Farrow, the first woman to serve as lieutenant governor in Wisconsin, died Tuesday.  She was 87.

The former lieutenant governor spent decades in politics, beginning as a trustee in the Waukesha County Village of Elm Grove. Farrow was elected to the Wisconsin Assembly in 1986 and was elected to the state Senate three years later, then reelected in 1990, 1994 and 1998.
