Called an "obscure official" by Bloomberg News, geologist Najla Bouden Romdhane will assume office at an unknown date in the future. She was the Minister of Higher Education in 2011, did not have a wikipedia page before today. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 22, 2022 Dottie May Frazier, the USA’s first female scuba diving instructor and dive-shop owner as well as one of the first women to become a hardhat diver and dive-suit manufacturer, has died in California at the age of 99. Frazier was inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame in 2000 and, at the age of 97, was awarded the US Historical Diving Society’s Diving Pioneer Award. One of the few ambitions she left unfulfilled was to reach the age of 100, although she came within five months of her goal. An interesting obit if any of you take the time to read them. The former lieutenant governor spent decades in politics, beginning as a trustee in the Waukesha County Village of Elm Grove. Farrow was elected to the Wisconsin Assembly in 1986 and was elected to the state Senate three years later, then reelected in 1990, 1994 and 1998.
