Guest One Man Jury Posted February 9, 2005 It´s not very likely Fidel Castro will die this year, presumably not even this decade. How do you know? Are you his proctologist? Well, let's hope the communist pig dies soon. What do you mean which one?
Terminator 13 Posted February 10, 2005 Do you reckon the £250 he must have got from You've Been Framed for that spectacular pratfall would be sufficent to turn around the Cuban economy?

Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted February 11, 2005 Castro still has the trillion dollar bill that he swiped off Monty Burns, so the You've been Framed cash is just a drop in the ocean. http://www.simpsoncrazy.com/episodeguide/season9/5f14.shtml

Tuber Mirum 126 Posted February 13, 2005 According to this BBC report: Mr Castro's personal physician recently said that he saw no reason why the president should not live to be 125. Also interesting to note that the world's oldest person may not be that Dutch lady after all.

Also interesting to note that the world's oldest person may not be that Dutch lady after all. Does that mean the teams that picked 'The worlds oldest man' in the Derby Dead Pool may be scuppered? I can't see that the worlds second oldest person will merit an obit.
Guest Calgarydude Posted February 20, 2005 Shocking to read a few of the comments here by left wing anti intellectual morons!! Castro is a beast that needs to be removed asap..........he has been jailing and executing dissidents since he came to power.......just recently he imprisoned about 70 journalists.........same on you foolish people that would support this pig!! I notice none of you libs would dare to live in this socialist hellhole.......you speak freely from your Western Democratic nations.... And to the idiot that posted that about Kissinger......Ahem.......The much respected Mr. Kissinger is hardly a 'christian'.........He is a German Jew......... Again, facts and intelligence are hardly the hallmark of the left.....

Again, facts and intelligence are hardly the hallmark of the left..... Errmm.... that would be me you're talking about. Of course you are right about Kissinger, but the fact that he is a jew is immaterial. I'm not sure if he practises either religion anyway. Much respected he may be, but without much justification, in my opinion. The point I was making is that Kissinger, bush, Nixon, (and even Kennedy) et al are (were) all no better and possibly worse than Castro or any other dictator who has imprisoned or killed thousands of people for spurious reasons of national security or because God told them to, or whatever. History will record this, after the revolution. (It is mighty slow in coming, Mr Kommunist. Is it worth my while starting a new batch of homebrew?) Sure, Cuba will be better off without Castro. Just don't kid yourself you're a special case. Many world leaders belong behind bars, but they aren't are they? Facts are abused by everyone who argues on one side or another. And accusations of non-intelligence are nothing but cheap and easy abuse. Western Democratic nations my arse anyway. There aren't really too many of them

Again, facts and intelligence are hardly the hallmark of the left..... The much respected...ahem...cough...cough...Henry Kissinger??? He played a major role in the CIA sponsored overthrow of democratically elected governments and the installation of brutal dictators in several Latin American countries, including Chile and Argentina. He also had a hand in many of those death squads that killed thousands of people during the dirty wars in Latin America. Although some of Fidel Castro acts are reprehensible, he is a small fish when compared to Henry Kissinger.

It was more just that the deaths were caused by evil totalitarian dictators who claimed to follow the Communist doctrine whilst doing something completely different. lospalmas7 12 Posted February 21, 2005 I think it's fair to say that neither 20th century Communism or Fascism was a picnic. The problem being the evil totalitarian dictators. I don't want to sound like a broken record... no actually I do.

It's human nature. Always have done, always will do. (Of course nobody we know personally does that sort of thing.) There is no correlation to any particular nationality, religion or political system. We tend to value our own lives more than those of our enemies. Which is understandable. That's why it's OK to flatten their cities, but not for them to do the same to ours. Name me more than a few countries or religions which haven't done away with an awful lot of people in the past 200 years or so. The Mennonites perhaps, or the Quakers. Can't think of any countries offhand. The Anti-Communists are definitely in no position to be casting stones.
