One of these many ancient but incredibly tough Indian politicos, he was already on his deathbed four years ago but seemingly recovered. Adding a list of the more minor Indian politicians, those (probably) not mentioned here before and definitely still living born in & before 1930 in the spoiler: Musicians and Non-Bollywood actors living, born in & before 1935: K. G. Jayan (1934) Carnatic musician and Padma Shri recipient. K. G. Jayan dead at 89.

Now also with severe post-stroke dementia) is the last Indian CM born in the 1920s and there's an eight year age difference between him and SC Jamir, the second-oldest one. Jamir was rumored dead in November but he's doing fine. SM Krishna who was on respiratory support last year is also doing fine. SM Krishna hospitalised, but of course "stable and recovering". He's one of those people with impressive health histories...survived oral cancer two or three times, heart attack(s?), angioplasties and bypasses, gallbladder problems, mouth infections, ulcers, god knows how many surgeries and bouts of pneumonia. I'm also quite sure he thinks he'll never die. Quote from an ABP Live article last year: Taking a break from hospitalization to attend a political event is just a minor example for those who have seen Pawar doing greater feats. In 2004, when Pawar was diagnosed with cancer, doubts were raised about whether he would survive till the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The political pundits predicted the end of his public career as well. However, Pawar was not ready to give up easily. When a young doctor, after assessing Pawar’s reports, said that he would not survive over six months, Pawar, in a lighter vein, remarked, “I will outlive you.” Sharad Pawar in ill health and cancels all programs.

drol 11,980 Posted May 7 HD Revanna hospitalised . He is currently under arrest, so I wouldn't trust him too much. He is Deve Gowda's son and Kumaraswamy's brother/rival. His son just fled to Germany to avoid arrest as he appears to be a very prolific serial rapist, and Revanna has been arrested in connection to the scandal. To my defense these names are very useful for low requirements dead pools. And beside that he directed Bank of India in the 80s, so held some kind of significance.
arghton 6,771 Posted May 18 Former PM Manmohan Singh, BJP heavyweights LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi and former VP Mohammad Hamid Ansari vote from home. Manmohan looks rough as usual, but on the other hand being able to sit is good for someone his age who was given ten years to live 15 years ago. Ansari has a blanket covering his legs. All very big names in India, I'd bet atleast two of that group will obit.
