Time to change the title of this thread.

There are now 200 posts over 8 pages of 'No Indians'.

Should never have been allowed to persist seeing as we had an existing thread.  But that’s our lovely admins admining.

I did the list of the oldest living Indian Chief Ministers earlier this year (July), here's a list of the oldest living Governors. Usually smaller political personalities than the CMs, so I'm not sure if all are alive. As with the list of oldest CMs, all born 1951 and before:

Kamla Beniwal (1927) Governor of Tripura 2009, Governor of Gujarat 2009-2014, Governor of Mizoram 2014. Known quite well for his beef with current Prime Minister Modi. Hospitalised in 2014.

Fathima Beevi (1927) Governor of Tamil Nadu 1997-2001.

Vakkom Purushothaman (1928) Governor of Mizoram 2011-2014, Governor of Tripura in 2014. Slightly fat and said on his 94th that he loves eating all types of food.

Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare (1928) Governor of Odisha 2007-2013.

A. Padmanabhan (1928) Governor of Mizoram 1998-2000.

Siddheshwar Prasad (1929-2023) Governor of Tripura 1995-2000.

Padmanabha Acharya (1931) Governor of Assam 2014-2016, Tripura 2014-2015, Nagaland 2014-2019, Arunachal Pradesh 2017, Manipur 2019.

S. C. Jamir (1931) Governor of Goa 2004-2008, Gujarat 2009, Maharashtra 2009-2010 and Odisha 2013-2018, more known as the longtime CM of Nagaland.

C. Rangarajan (1932) Governor of Andra Pradesh 1997-2003, Governor of Odisha 1998-1999.

Dhanik Lal Mandal (1932-2022) Governor of Haryana 1990-1995

S. M. Krishna (1932) Former Karnataka CM who was also the Governor of Maharashtra 2004-2008.

Keshari Nath Tripathi (1934-2023) Governor of Bihar 2014-2015 and 2017, Governor of West Bengal 2014-2019, Meghalaya and Mizoram 2015.

Biswabhusan Harichandan (1934) Ancient incumbent Governor of Andra Pradesh since 2019.

Ajai Singh (1934) Governor of Assam 2003-2008.

...

Ajai Singh, former Governor of Assam and Lt. Gen, dead at 88.

I've removed from the list B.M. Lal, acting Bihar governor in 1999, who apparently died in 2001

Here's a list of current and former Indian Chief Ministers by age, up to 1951. A lot of these have been mentioned here, some a lot, but some haven't. Might've missed some:

achuthanandan.jpg.68d4bb2bc44ecb804ae079d3692956ee.jpg
V. S. Achuthanandan (1923) Kerala's former communist CM. Hospitalised after feeling unwell in 2016, stroke in 2019, multiple organ failure in 2021, covid in 2022.

singhbadal.png.c21127b35e725cc673e85364fa91a83d.png

Parkash Singh Badal (1927-2023) Four-time CM of Punjab, obese, asthma, frequently hospitalised, five times this year.

jamir.png.449ebf378b3be1ffbbf1615233929fe2.png

S. C. Jamir (1931) Four-time Nagaland CM, his mother lived to 101. Heart attack in 2017.

S. M. Krishna (1932) Karnataka CM 1999-2004, still very active. Out of the ones born before 1935 he and Jamir seem like the ones who'll be here last.

H. D. Deve Gowda (1933) Former Karnataka CM, later Prime Minister, indestructible. Or judging on his 19th of July 2022 appearance, maybe not.

...

Updated for the death of Parkash Singh Badal. VS Achuthanandan (how's he alive? Now also with severe post-stroke dementia) is the last Indian CM born in the 1920s and there's an eight year age difference between him and SC Jamir, the second-oldest one. Jamir was rumored dead in November but he's doing fine. SM Krishna who was on respiratory support last year is also doing fine.

Indian politics & Cricket heavyweight Sharad Pawar quits as NCP President...but "not going to retire anytime soon".

He's one of those people with impressive health histories...survived oral cancer two or three times, heart attack(s?), angioplasties and bypasses, gallbladder problems, mouth infections, ulcers, god knows how many surgeries and bouts of pneumonia.

I'm also quite sure he thinks he'll never die. Quote from an ABP Live article last year:

Taking a break from hospitalization to attend a political event is just a minor example for those who have seen Pawar doing greater feats. In 2004, when Pawar was diagnosed with cancer, doubts were raised about whether he would survive till the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The political pundits predicted the end of his public career as well. However, Pawar was not ready to give up easily. When a young doctor, after assessing Pawar’s reports, said that he would not survive over six months, Pawar, in a lighter vein, remarked, “I will outlive you.”

It's "brain tumor complications" and he's in semicoma but stable.

To avoid confusion this is Manohar Joshi (85) who was the Maharashtra CM 1995-1999 succeeding Sharad Pawar and an influential leader of ultranationalist far-right Shiv Sena, not Murli Manohar Joshi (89) former home minister and alleged sex abuser. Both mentioned here before

Cerebral hemorrhage, coma, life support, likely malignant brain cancer, health greatly declined since he lost his wife due to COVID...

Old Manohar seems quite fucked.

Saalumarada Thimmakka (Indian woman who planted a lot of trees and got some international fame for it, Padma Shri, immortals lister, claims to be somewhere between 104 and 114 but is actually "only" 94 or 95) visited by Karnataka CM who wishes her good health

I wonder if this is just a random visit or if she's ill. She had multiple ICU visits between 2012 and 2021 but has been relatively stable for the last two years. However she has apparently suffered from COPD for more than a decade.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's mother (and one of former CM M. Karunanidhi's widows) Dayalu Ammal and Tamil Nadu political "matriarch" celebrates 90th. Or 88th, 87th, 86th or 84th. Her age has been surrounded by some small controversy for a while as she was married to Karunanidhi in 1948 (right after Karunanidhi's first wife died at 20, allegedly from tuberculosis) and her oldest sons are now 70 and 71. She's been in failing health for a while and I couldn't find new pictures of her.

Also...Jayanta Mahapatra, 94, major Indian poet with a long health history (already suffering from a "serious illness" in 2006) and DL Cup pick 2021 & 2022 has again been a bit ill, here's an image from earlier this month:

mahapatra.png.e4b8eeea223887ecf5cde1a79a2f3831.png

He's attended some events since this image was taken but looks decrepit.

Jayanta Mahapatra ill with high fever, low heartbeat and "old-age complications" but not ill enough to be hospitalised. "If necessity arises, Mahapatra will be admitted to SCBMCH for further treatment"

Article on ailing Indian opposition politicians as the opposition is trying to squeeze some votes out of them. It mentions two perennially ills: Manmohan Singh (former prime minister, long health history of diabetes, heart problems, dengue, covid...) and Shibu Soren (Jharkland controversial CM, has been on oxygen atleast three times in recent years with covid, heart problems, CKD and water-in-lungs) but also a third MP called Bashistha Narain Singh who has apparently also been in ill health for years.

Here's Soren arriving to parliament some days ago:
