Jesus! How long can this woman go on. Mind you I've seen pics of her from a few years back and she doesn't look bad for a 100-year old.

On the news tonight. By her own admission she had "a bit of this, and, a bit of that", whilst she was in hospital on a covert mission to check for cleanliness. She contracted MRSA whilst conducting her investigation for the Daily Mail.

I would like to propose Mr.Winner for 2005. His waistline and exceedingly rich diet must be a "recipe for disaster". As director of the first three "Deathwish" films he certainly deserves the honour

What about "Smashing, Great, Super" Jim Bowen of legendary Bullesye Fame? I guess he's still shuffling along quite nicely (another one who appeared in Peter Kay's Phoenix nights). "And have a look at would have you could have won"....what bloody good was a speedboat for 2 friends from land-locked Sutton Coldfield? "Stay in the black and out of the red, you get nothing in this game for two in a bed" (unless your names Sven Goran Erikson) And Bully's star prize.........

This is an outrage! The great clarinetist who put down the instrument at his peak, never to play again. I hope it's not his time since i've bet against it at terribly short odds.

I was wondering if Miep Gies is a good candidate for the 2005 list? During World War II she protected Anne Frank and her family by hiding them in a secret annex above Anne's father's shop in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She saved the diary that made Anne Frank a household name. What do you think? Best wishes, Mich.

'80s singer Laura Branigan dies suddenly at 47...I was going to put this in the 'Dead Losses' thread, but I guess it was too unpredictable to count as a miss. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/livin...ple/9525414.htm

If GR is going to go and pay a visit to Richard O'Sullivan in his nursing home, perhaps I could help out the DL by calling on Johnny Mills. He lives about 10 minutes drive from me in Denham. His house backs onto a golf course, and I have seen him mowing his back lawn on a sit-on mower. (Quite a few years ago I must admit). How do you think I should bring the subject up, bearing in mind I will have about 15 seconds on his doorstep before the police are called to report a psychopath on the loose in the village. DWB
