The portrait in his attic doubtless smells as bad as it looks - all those who don't dive into every scurrilous book about bad ass musicians need to know is that this man continues to reside in the UK and he'd make local headlines even if there were 20 mile queues at the channel ports and the Covid death toll hit 1000 when he went (so Deathrace points, then). As recently as last year the man's capacity for self-sabotage was writ large when he sidestepped a question about the age of his girlfriends back in the day by saying their youth wasn't a problem because he married them (granted one was 16, another 17...)
