German title dealer Hans-Hermann Weyer has died on August 15th at age 85 in Rio de Janeiro.

In the media he is usually referred as Konsul Weyer and he himself appears as Consul Weyer Graf von Yorck.

Weyer mediated honorary consulates and adoptions by mostly impoverished members of noble families for wealthy customers and occasionally appeared in public in uniforms he had designed himself. You could say he was a bit eccentric.

Thomas Danneberg, one of the most famous and well-known voice actors in Germany, has died at the age of 81 (September 30, 2023).

He is best known for dubbing over Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, John Travolta, Terence Hill, Adriano Celentano, Nick Nolte, John Cleese and many others.

A candidate from our long long list. Otherwise a hit on our main list would be nice...

Edit: + John Cleese

He was also known for dubbing Mel Gibsons voice since the 80s. His brother Fritz Wepper is part of this years DACH-List.

Oh, we picked the wrong Wepper :( Who could have guessed that?

"Funny", or as Alanis Morrissette would say, "ironic". Heart failure, mostly unexpected, gone in a second.

Meanwhile his brother looked like death warmed up at some point last year because of cancer.

Figure skating icon Jutta Müller has died at 94, the most prominent figure skating teacher Germany had:

Yes, I know it's posted elsewhere, but here it comes with a question.

Anyone else discovering their DACH-roots, or feeling in the mood to participate in next year's list while also being a DACH citizen?

Edit: not the founder of Dürr, it was a family company, but he turned into a worldwide presence.
