In my time, yes, but it was discussed on Jean-Luc Godard's thread that DL Obits used to be written and published at a much slower pace to nowadays.
Bibliogryphon 9,493 Posted November 9, 2022 So an update of the graphs to take account of the two quick hits on the list In 2020 there were still five hits to be had even though we were two hits further on at this point Most years there is at least one

Clarence 58 Posted December 30, 2022 I think 2022 list beat 2018 and 2020 if we talking about Quality. So far, only 14 people from the list passed away but majority of them is undoubtedly very famous/easily recognized around the world. 1. Queen Elizabeth 2. Mikhail Gorbachev 3. Pele 4. Angela Lansbury 5. Jerry Lee Lewis 6. Sidney Poitier 7. Jean Luc Godard 8. Leslie Philips 9. Loretta Lynn 10. Estelle Harris 11. June Brown 12. Bill Treacher 13. Bill Turnbull 14. Robert Durst What a Great Year for Death list if we are talking about Quality!
Deathtreat23 189 Posted December 30, 2022 Definitely a better year than i thought it was going to be considering the April- late August drought but once we got going we really got going with some huge hits.
Clarence 58 Posted December 31, 2022 Too many notable people died in 2020 and 2016 but I think 2022 beat those years if we talking about Quality. Too many notable people passed away this year! 1
Kenny 283 Posted December 31, 2022 It's surprising that so many "open goals" were missed. I hope that Bob Barker surprises most on here and celebrates his 100th birthday.
Captain Hemlock 724 Posted December 31, 2022 Pope Benedict and Nichelle Nichols were the two biggest misses.
openviews 313 Posted January 1, 2023 2022 although not the best year is still joint third alongside 2003, 2008, and 2015 at 14 correct predictions but behind 2017 (17) and 2020 (20). One record that the 2022 list has broken by one day from 2006 is the longest gap between the first and last correct Deathlist predictions. (7th January to the 29th December - 357 days) Records updated here… https://forums.deathlist.net/topic/8966-statistics/?do=findComment&comment=480508
Bibliogryphon 9,493 Posted January 3, 2023 In the final analysis despite the long drought in the summer 2022 ended up being the best non-record breaking year since 2015
