BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat has just done a feature on her. I only really knew that she was a big name in a sphere almost completely unknown to me, but I had no idea until now just how much she was sampled. Bombay Bicycle Club, Britney Spears, producers whose work I listen to a lot. Very interesting.

Hridaynath Mangeshkar hospitalised, but "doing well" and expected to be discharged within ten days. Looked awful at his sister's funeral.
