Who Should Be On The Deathlist 2025?

Recommended Posts

48)Trisha Goddard (Big UK name.Terminal cancer)

49)Chris Hoy (Terminal cancer possibly too soon but would be a big name to miss)

Both of these I think should be kept for beyond 2025. Terminal breast cancer can take a while to kill (look at Olivia Hussey). And Hoy's prognosis isn't looking bad until 2026 at the earliest.

I don't disagree they are suggestions not recommendations.

Gonna throw a name in there as well.

Dustin Hoffman. Quietly retired from acting this year. Missed all press releases and interviews regarding the movie he starred in recently. Looked and sounded like shit in that movie.

What are you talking about? His latest movie (Tuner) was filmed only a month or two ago, and he filmed Peter Greenaway's new movie only a few months before that. He didn't attend Megalopolis' Cannes premiere, but he was at the NYC premiere, and he's attended many other events this year (Kung Fu Panda 4's premiere, the US Open, Wimbledon, etc.) What makes you think he has "quietly retired"?

Sidney Cooke, Harvey Weinstein and Stuart Hall would all be prolific names whose deaths would all be universally welcomed and new blood for Deathlist.

Brian Blessed seems good for his age why him?

Helen Worth looked fine in her final episodes no sign of illness.Thinking she could just be retiring as she is nearly 74 rather than serious health issues.

Patricia Greene is a good suggestion.Sounds frail and rumours of poor health and 93.

I did hear about her having Alzheimer's (Helen Worth) but it's merely rumours most likely to what people were saying as I couldn't find anything to confirm that online

Yes Brian does when you consider he's pushing 90 years of age but because he's bigger and had that collapse on stage 10 years ago followed by a pacemaker fitted I'm wary of missing him. I don't think he will go next year but think he will be a big miss if he did and 2026 onwards I think he should become a mainstay of the list.

As for Helen Worth she looked okay in her final scenes but there have been hushed rumours and whispers from people in the know, as well as her only filming limited scenes in her exit storyline. I hope I'm wrong as I think the character in general was fab.

Paddy Greene is known to a cousin of mine and is very frail in a care home, as well as having battled cancer in the past (which she beat however) and a stroke. She does sound weak when she's been on The Archers recently sadly.

Can I just say @Sean how much I enjoy your contributions to the forum. As a long time lurker before joining you have always been good value overall. A very happy new year to you

Don't know about Alzheimer's I've heard more physical health rumours, but hopefully they're both wrong and she lives into her 90s as the woman is a legend.

Seems a massive gamble. Can someone well over retirement age just not want to retire?

Helen Worth does look a frail 74 compared to many of her age and older. But she told producers she was leaving a year ago so is unlikely to be that close to dearh.

[Walker] was about to join the 2025 list at Number 8...

With Johnnie Walker gone, I'm going to make a last-minute push for Steve McMichael.
