Dr Strangelove 14 Posted May 13, 2005 According to the Scotsman Simon Le Bon is again to participate in the Fastnet race. Using the same boat "Drum". The last time he tried this in 1985; he capsized Drum and nearly died. The boat will have its original crew members (who should know better by now surely) Is this a prime example of failing to learn from experience?

Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted August 12, 2005 That, my friends, is exactly the type of nomination the DL would benefit from. He's unarguably globally famous, relatively young, his passing would be massive news, and although I quite like SLB if he died in a yachting race it would go down as an all-time great death. Any tips for other celebs taking on dangerous tasks in '06 would be welcome.

maryportfuncity 10,639 Posted August 13, 2005 Nah, the present generation of F1 cars are for pussies. I refer you to the thread on F1 where we've even included guidance to clips of newsreel footage showing great motor racing accidents. Maybe if they sacked Massa next year and brought back De Cesaris as Schuey's team-mate.
