Guest IYG Posted July 21, 2005 I go on vacation for 4 days and we have two deaths. Oh well, I'll try and catch up on everything later.
Lady Die 63 Posted July 21, 2005 Has anyone found any statistical correlation between DL members going on holiday & DL successes occurring?
Bald rick 9 Posted July 21, 2005 When are you going away again?
Tuber Mirum 126 Posted July 21, 2005 Same thing happened to me except it was holiday I went on rather than vacation. I happened to look at the BBC news the very minute they posted Heath's death and briefly toyed with the idea of trying to be the first to mention it here. But then I thought "Nah, f**k it!"
Guest IYG Posted July 21, 2005 Actually, I probably won't go anywhere till the holiday season so I gues 8 is our number for this year.

This is the summer season, from what I understand, the holiday season is Thanksgiving and Christmas time here.
Tuber Mirum 126 Posted July 21, 2005 What about the well-known song "Summer Holiday" then? Eh? Got you there, haven't I?
Deadornot 12 Posted July 21, 2005 What about the well-known song "Summer Holiday" then? Eh? Got you there, haven't I? And the last episode of the young ones where they all fall off a cliff and die?

If you click on the above link, you will be able to listen to an audio sample of it. Regards, ff

The lesson we learn from this episode is that Sir Cliff may never die, but is rapidly fading away. regards, Hein

Lady Grendel 139 Posted July 23, 2005 I go on vacation for 4 days and we have two deaths. Oh well, I'll try and catch up on everything later. Same here, I went away for 4 days and 2 people died, I was also away the weekend the Queen Monster(sorry Mother for all the royalists) died. I am going away on Tuesday for a few days so keep your fingers crossed that another 2 or3 may lie down to the Grim Reaper and give in to the Death List.
Windsor 2,235 Posted July 23, 2005 I went away for 4 days and 2 people died, I was also away the weekend the Queen Monster(sorry Mother for all the royalists) died. I'm not amused. Still - could have been worse - you could have posted the joke about the cold nan (bread) or the one where the corgis get the blame for pissing on the chairs.
IKYWN 6 Posted August 3, 2005 I'm going on holiday for two weeks at the end of next week. Usually when I'm away a major celebrity or two pops off. Pope John Paul 1st and Martin Borman are two prime examples of why celebrities quake in their boots when I'm off on vacation. This year I'd like to see a bumper crop of a least three. A major international film star, someone from the world of politics and Pete Doherty. Form an orderly queue please.
Lady Die 63 Posted August 3, 2005 Any three from this year's list would be good.
Josco 49 Posted August 3, 2005 Mo Mowlam is ill and re-admitted to hospital. Will that suffice?

Guest IYG Posted August 3, 2005 Perhaps you should go away more often? You beat me to the joke I see but then again, Edward Heath and James Doohan died while I was away.

Maybe all DL members should start going on vacation once a year religiously.
Typhoid Harry 23 Posted August 3, 2005 Maybe all DL members should start going on vacationonce a year religiously. Religious holidays are pointless and boring.
Teddy 21 Posted August 3, 2005 My religious holiday in Rome earlier this year was quite interesting

I'm begining to wonder if you have ever watched "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" Then maybe you will think just a bit differently.
