Thanks, though the quality of the pics diminishes a hell of a lot uploading them here!

Won’t upload pics without 5g and and clear head but I absolutely love Darling Harbour in Sydney. Chinese New Year celebrations yesterday were spectacular as is the rooftop bar we’re sat in right now. Homeward bound on Tues which is frankly gutting but it means I won’t we boring your cunts off with pics anymore so there’s a bonus. NZ is utterly fucking gorgeous as ever and Aus…well, I’m trying to work on convincing OH that the UK is dead and we should emigrate. Please wish me luck.

Having been to NZ a few times, if I was younger, I'd immigrate in a heartbeat.  I'd encourage anyone with a trade to go.

Bună seara from Romania!

Since my trip in November was a roaring success, I decided to do that again. I'm currently on a train from Bucharest to Sinaia. Exploring Transylvania then heading to Bulgaria, coming home in a week's time. Still with my trusty 21-year-old Ellesse backpack. This time, I'm not freezing but rather being incinerated. Please send water.

Nice place to spend Easter. Given you're a youngster, that'd make that backpack about the same size you were when bought surely? :D

Clorox Sr bought it for the UEFA Cup Final. Celtic lost to Porto. He made the surprisingly good decision not to smuggle a 1-year-old into a football game in Seville.

Its not a holiday as such, but I have booked a weekend away, and will be visiting what I assume to be the spiritual home of @harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy to catch up with some old friends/former colleagues.

Ooh it’s beautiful down in the tenth circle of Hell in late spring, I hope you have a lovely time. Send us a postcard!

Oh. You mean Chester.

I'm in Mallorca for the next week, I've spent the day so far lying by the pool, drinking beer and watching some 1980s Coronation Street on my phone.20240707_131907.thumb.jpg.d2630dfdca3555590145822e2d2e09d0.jpg

I'm at G*tw*ck right now and haven't slept for 24 hours. My best pal and I are heading to Vancouver. We're staying with my maternal aunt and her 2 tiny senior dogs for a fortnight. I haven't been over since I was 14. Rosalynn Carter died while I was on a much shorter flight so I expect carnage when I log in around 11pm BST.

Edit: I appear to have killed Shannen Doherty.

Yes, it's me again, and I'm back.

One of my closest friends is Hungarian. I've known her since she moved to Scotland with her parents and joined my primary school, and we've talked about going to Hungary together since 2008 or 2009. I'm not one to let plans go. We've spent the day in Budapest, and are now en route to her family home in the city of Veszprém, about 90 minutes from the capital.

I've managed to arrive to swampy bawbag weather for 3 trips in a row now. Floridians/Texans, make fun of me all you want, but my pasty self cannot handle 35°C and high humidity. I want nothing more than to dive into the inviting waters of Lake Balaton or somewhere like that. No idea what we'll get up to. Her family don't speak English.

I'm currently planning a city break on my own in Amsterdam for middle of October. Should be interesting.

Just boarded a weeklong cruise to Bermuda with my family (this was planned 8 months ago).

Last post until I get back (or sooner if I connect to wifi on the island).

I'm in Iceland (not the supermarket). It's blowing a hoolie. I've been quite depressed, but I know that travel and music are 2 things that genuinely make me happy. Attending Iceland Airwaves festival in Reykjavik from Thursday until Saturday.

Here's hoping the hoolie blows out the cobwebs and your trip lifts your spirits. Hope you have a great time.

Went on a uni fieldtrip to Iceland 15 years ago. Found Reykjavik a bit on the boring side, but the landscapes along the south coast where we were based were stunning. Wandered around on a glacier, visited the Kvernufoss waterfall and the fishing village of Vik. It rained almost constantly but when the sun came out it was beautiful.
