Lady Grendel 137 Posted August 6, 2005 It's just been announced on BBC News 24 that Robin Cook has had a serious accident while out hillwalking in Scotland, early reports seem to indicate that he was flown of the hills by a helicopter and resuscitation was attempted all through the journey to hospital. BBC News says: Former Cabinet minister Robin Cook is seriously ill after he collapsed while out hill walking, reports say. It is believed that he was taken ill near the summit of Ben Stack mountain, near an area known as Laxford Bridge in north-western Scotland. Tuber Mirum 119 Posted August 6, 2005 The whole Cook/Mowlam thing could indeed be more than coincidence. I suspect it is the last vestiges of a long running campaign to rid Labour of Socialists. It started with Gaitskell's leadership in 1955, really took off with Foot and Kinnock in the 70's and 80's and is just about over now.
