Magere Hein 1,400 Posted August 6, 2005 Robin Cook 'seriously ill' That URL kills my web browser. Former foreign secretary Robin Cook is reportedly in a serious condition in hospital after apparently collapsing while on a Highland mountain walk with friends. BBC News says: Former Cabinet minister Robin Cook is seriously ill after he collapsed while out hill walking, reports say. It is believed that he was taken ill near the summit of Ben Stack mountain, near an area known as Laxford Bridge in north-western Scotland. He was flown by helicopter to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, and is understood to have received 40 minutes of resuscitation en route. regards, Hein
Magere Hein 1,400 Posted August 6, 2005 Doesn't sound very good for Robin, It sounds serious. strange you can never tell who's going to drop next. I just checked: no one has him as a pick in the DDP. regards, Hein
Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted August 6, 2005 I used to dislike garden gnome Robin Cook but give him credit for resigning because he disagreed with the Iraq war, unlike that hypocrite Clare Shortarse.

themaninblack 2,112 Posted August 6, 2005 Let us not forget folks that Robin Cook was the most politically high profile critic of the Iraq War/Debacle...... That Blair is one lucky son of a bitch!!! I had a fleeting thought a few days ago that Blair might actually be the Anti-Christ, before dismissing it as paranoid speculation......

Banshees Scream 110 Posted August 6, 2005 Surely this just goes to prove the perils of exercise. If Robin had just been a couch potato ,he would still be alive today. Something tells me Notapotato might just disagree.
Boudicca 702 Posted August 6, 2005 If Robin had just been a couch potato ,he would still be alive today. Very true. Hopefully, Mr Notapotato will live 'till a "ripe"old age.
Tuber Mirum 126 Posted August 6, 2005 The whole Cook/Mowlam thing could indeed be more than coincidence. I suspect it is the last vestiges of a long running campaign to rid Labour of Socialists. It started with Gaitskell's leadership in 1955, really took off with Foot and Kinnock in the 70's and 80's and is just about over now. Since George Galloway has gone of his own volition, who do the panel think will be next after Mo Mowlam?
