Things to do while waiting for Death ... 2005

Recommended Posts

Life is constantly evolving, whereas death is static.

Of course all things must end, but often that end is a new beginning for life.

For example a corpse is a breeding ground of Microbes, a form of life.

Life and Death have a symbiotic relationship, the one requires the other,

in order to have any meaning.

Death is the definitive part of the life cycle. The one constant. Sure the death of one thing may mean the life of another but that life also heads inevitably towards it's death. The two have to co-exist but it doesn't necessarily mean it has a meaning... there is no higher purpose other than to continue the cycle. We like to think there is because we have the intelligence to reason... the fact that there is no purpose scares the S**t out of [some] of us.

Hurry to meet death before your place is taken :D

Or perhaps life is the definitive part of the death cycle.

Which came first life or death?

My argument is that life came first, as before life there was no death.

Life is what defines death, not the other way round.

Maybe it is. As you said though life is ever changing. Death isn't. It's constant. Life sprung from a series of random coincidences. At a finite moment it was created and the cycle has continued ever since. Before life there was no life. Death is the absence of life.

Life itself is finite and always heads towards death so why can't death define life? We have a short space of time to continue the cycle while we're here. Death always wins. We can't cheat the Reaper

Aren't we getting a little philosophical?

It's a moment of clarity inbetween levels of intoxication. :D

If the Free Radicals problem is ever overcome, then life may just become infinite.

Sounds like another heathen religion trying to find purpose and meaning!

Whisky and clarity are calling.

:D I'll drink to that...

Can't say that I have ever achieved that level of enlightenment. Usually things are a little blurry.

My answers came up with the following, unbelievably accurate picture of me

There's no debating that you're still game for anything. It's likely you're known to the local police and have been thrown out of every establishment in town at one point or another. Mixing it up's what you're all about.

Incredible!

My results from the Still Game test:

You like a wee risk as long as you're still in control, eh? I bet you get wound up if things aren't at right angles on your desk. You're anal, and not in a good way.
