AJS 1 Posted October 31, 2005 Surely the cast of the Poseidon Adventure have to be sure contenders for 2006 i mean there's: Red Buttons (86) Gene Hackman (75) Ernest Borgnine (88) Carol Lynley (63) Stella Stevens (69) Shelley Winters (85) Sheila Allen (76) Leslie Nielsen (79)
Cerberus 296 Posted October 31, 2005 Shelley Winters has been discussed recently. Borgnine and Buttons also look good bets. I'd forget about the sixty-somethings for now unless anyone knows of any serious health problems.
maryportfuncity 10,616 Posted October 31, 2005 Leslie Nielson is 79! Hanging together well for that old. Doubt he'll be a contender in 2006.
Guest iain Posted October 31, 2005 not necessarily ..many people live well into their 80s or 90s nowadays so it sperfectly possible that they will all last a few years yet.Unless one or more of them is allready suffering from a serious illness of course

BrunoBrimley 86 Posted November 20, 2005 This afternoon on a local statrion this great movie will be shown. Saw it New Years day when It first had come out. Still one of my favorites and a genuine classic right up there with the other classics. Learned a great deal too and never take ocean voyages because of it. Canadian Paul 97 Posted November 20, 2005 The director of said film, Ronald Neame, is 94 (born 23-Apr-1911), going on 95 for '06. Since none of these actors or actresses have had any serious health problems (except for perhaps Shelley Winters), he's probably a better candidate than all them. Again though, he's been seen at awards shows quite recentely if I'm not mistaken, and wasn't looking too bad for his age. Another one of those "sure he's old, but so what?" candidates I suppose. Canadian Paul 97 Posted January 30, 2006 Gene Hackman is 75 today It appears your right. I always thought Hopkins and Hackman were the same age... yet a full seven years seperates them...
Phantom 2,531 Posted January 30, 2006 I only found out it was Hackman's birthday today purely by chance. I was browsing imdb and saw his photo come up under the birthdays section

Phantom 2,531 Posted January 31, 2006 even though women tend to outlive their partners on average by at least 4 years sometimes people who are/were married often die close to each other. After all didn't Bernie Winters die about the same time as Schnorbitz ?

Lady Die 63 Posted February 1, 2006 Lord and Lady Callaghan too, So how come John Noakes still lives so long after breaking down on telly and telling a bunch of uncomprehending kids that Shep was dead? I don't think Shep was his "partner" in the biblical sense.
