deadsox 894 Posted September 10, 2009 There are degrees of difference.....what's classed as dyslexic in the UK is "sharply-crafted writing" in the USA. What's your source for this Terminator? May be this? Personally I can't bear Frogs or Toads. (How do you tell the difference? Who cares?) During wet weather some gather near our back door and on occasion I have trapped them in the door, squashed..... ugh! Not a convincing source Josco. Although I am often appalled at the grammar, spelling and syntax of many Americans, I haven't noticed that the Brits are much better. Toads are generally terrestrial with dry skin and frogs are aquatic with moist skin.
Dave to the Grave 11 Posted September 11, 2009 This isn't much of a secret though, so I'm going to finally admit something I haven't ever told anyone before - I'm scared of eyes. Does this include eyes still attached? I think if I found one in the road, I'd be a bit upset, but in the socket, usually very beautiful. This reminded me of a friend who really loved eyes. He told a story of a particularly long lashed friend who would flutter them, and literally in the blink of an eye, he was winked off. Apparently, this is the inspiration behind Kajagoogoo's hit. 'Too shy shy, hush hush, eye to hog's eye'.
