maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted August 3, 2006 If DL lasts for decades and Kennedy - in his mid forties now - stumbles around public life for that time his thread could become the most posted and viewed in our history.

maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted August 29, 2006 The Kennedy years were undoubtedly good years for the Liberal Democrats and it is certain his leadership will be remembered not only with genuine affection by many, but respect for his achievements. The above from another BBC article. It's notable his biography got a higher news profile than anything his party have done in the last three months. Radio Four this morning quoted people saying he'd be a front bencher again next year but suggesting he'd never again lead the party. I'd say deffo for the first one and - personally - I'd say him getting his old job back is a good outside chance. Owing mainly to their lack of anything else resembling talent. Harvester Of Souls 40 Posted October 26, 2006 I post a picture of some dogshit, to symbolise how the Deathlist Forum has fallen from grace, and it get's deleted. Yet it seems anyone can splatter the place with porn until their hearts are content...

Tuber Mirum 125 Posted November 17, 2006 I post a picture of some dogshit, to symbolise how the Deathlist Forum has fallen from grace, and it get's deleted. Yet it seems anyone can splatter the place with porn until their hearts are content... That's because porn is interesting and attractive and dogshit isn't. Ask yourself why the web is 90% porn and only 10% dogshit. (You may think I'm joking, but in between the bullshit on that page, there really is some sh*t which I presume came from a dog.) maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted November 17, 2006 CK is on Radio Four's 'Question Time' tonight. Anyone within earshot might want to listen out for slurring. Despite a few slips our man seems to be winning out over his demons, but you never know.
maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted December 23, 2006 Ah, thank you pointless drive-by spam dog for reminding me that I wanted to post on this thread and point out that those atop the Lib Dems are still hell bent on self-destruct. Lembit Opik being the latest to make of himself a national joke. Charlie will lead this rabble again at this rate.

maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted October 15, 2007 Ming moves over. It won't be Charlie boy this time but given the lack of talent in that party will Charlie boy look a contender again once Lembit Opik, Vince Cable or Chris Huhne has well and truly stiffed out at the next election? maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted October 15, 2007 Clean and keeping a low profile, apparently. Was just discussed as an outside bet on Newsnight. The gist of the discussion being that people realise he has huge popular support but he's unlikely to run. The problem is that those likely to run are either lacklustre figures who couldn't push their way to the front against Ming and Simon - I don't half look like a sex-criminal - Hughes or a couple of women candidates that nobody has ever heard of. Should be - like - riveting....NOT!!

Should be - like - riveting....NOT!! Hmmmm...they lack a charismatic figure like Paddy Pantsdown. I mean Nick Clegg..who? I've seen him and he seems like a Cameron clone, which is pretty grim... Good news for Gordon though. A new leader will have a bounce at the expense of the Tories.
maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted October 16, 2007 A new leader will have a bounce at the expense of the Tories. I don't think there's too much certain in this world because - let's face it - the words 'Liberal Democrats' and 'depth of talent' tend not to appear in the same sentence, apart from this one, obviously.
