GossipGabe 333 Posted June 6, 2015 Cancel the death date predictions! Kohl said to be doing well after an operation http://www.thedailyherald.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=55982:kohl-doing-well-after-operations&catid=18:entertainment&Itemid=29You cite an article from two days ago that quotes the same official statement as gcreptile did on the 2nd of June. The only difference is - your article is in English (while his link was German.) "Under the circumstances, Dr. Helmut Kohl is doing well," Yeah, he is doing well, considering he had two serious operations in a month. But it doesn't mean that his health is particularly robust. He has survived a surgery, but we don't even know why he was operated on. It could be diverculitis or cancer, they wouldn't tell you either way. And at this age (and already frail) these things (diseases, surgeries etc.) add up pretty soon.

gcreptile 10,970 Posted June 11, 2015 Some new media reports in Germany: http://www.focus.de/politik/deutschland/kanzler-der-einheit-auf-der-intensivstation-sorge-um-helmut-kohl-gab-es-komplikationen_id_4742071.html His situation is still "unchanged", i.e. just like the last time they say he's doing well "considering the circumstances". They don't let anyone near him, just like in the last couple of years. Apparently, there were complications after the second operation, just a day after the last press release. That former press release said that he was planning to go on a holiday, but now it looks to be a lie or wishful thinking.
