So, I'm seeing nowt from the anticipated sea of sleaze expected on his demise. Is this another Ted Heath - mucho smoke minimal flaming - scenario?

Jeremy Thorpe has lost his wife of 40 years Marion Thorpe at 87 .She was a famous pianist in her own right http://www.artsjourn...e-has-died.html With Jeremy in a bad way himself this could finish him off

Is Norman Scott still alive?

Was as of 2009 and living in Dartmoor (after all, as one judge - or was it Peter Cook  ? - said, Andrew Newton was incapable of carrying out a simple murder plot without buggering the whole thing up).

He was involved in such a juicy scandal of the 70s, you would assume one of the papers would note his death.

As an add on to the previous discussion, The Telegraph nicely point out Scott is certainly alive, 74, and now living in Ireland.

Alive and not looking too bad for his age.

Norman Scott looking hale and hearty on the BBC News.

However, it appears Andrew Newton (the shooter) might still be out there....
