Rude Kid 3 Posted September 17, 2004 Bono estente! Sminky-pinky heth-eth-eth-eth Johnny Ramone. Scorchio! Hey Manuel, chuck us another plate of paella over here when you're done ranting, matey. Muchas Gracias!

"Metanse lqa death list in the ass pieces of pelotudos....yo I believe that you they are going away to die pieces d ehijso of puta... if them encounter I violate putosssss... and if I get to see a commentary but on johnny ramone them right of perpetual ownership that are going away to regret." That's clear as crystal then, although sadly lacking the brevity and succinctness of RK's interpretation.

VSBfromH 74 Posted September 17, 2004 Spooky! watched "School of Rock" with friends last night, and it had lots of references to the Ramones in it! I already knew he'd snuffed it at this point, but not when we'd made the date to see the film. Maybe if I make plans to watch "Dad's Army" tomorrow night... Any other requests? The Yeti 14 Posted September 17, 2004 I must say that his English is very good, and interesting than another profanity has made it past the filter............ Must be the capital letters that do it. Going to be awkward to block every variation of MOtheRFuCkeRS !
The Yeti 14 Posted September 17, 2004 The band's singer, Joey Ramone, whose real name was Jeff Hyman, died in 2001 of lymphatic cancer. Bassist Dee Dee Ramone, who was born Douglas Colvin, died from a drug overdose in 2002.... Johnny Ramone founded "The Ramones" in 1974 with Joey Ramone, DeeDee Ramone and Tommy Ramone, the only surviving member of the original band. So can we add Tommy next year just for the heck of it ? And the odds being in out favour ? Anyone know if there are any spelling mistakes we can take the piss out of ?
Night 4 Posted September 19, 2004 Just deliberate spelling errors ("putossss"), probably to avoid the filter back home. Multilingual filter avoidance, there's a skill set to make your old mother proud.
G. Love 0 Posted November 14, 2005 I'm loathe to say it, but surely Tommy's a bit f**ked. I mean, we've lost Joey, Deedee and Johnny in the space of four years. Anyone got any news with regards to the remaining Ramones founder? I saw him at the unveiling of a statue to Johnny a few months back, and he didn't look too bad. Then again, neither did Dee Dee... Banshees Scream 110 Posted November 14, 2005 The Ramones seem to have had some what of a curse after loosing 3\4 of the original band members during a span of only 4 years. From what i know the 3 surviving members Tommy, Marky and CJ Ramone are all in fair health. I suppose we missed out last year when guitarist Johnny Ramone who had terminal prostate cancer wasnt included on the list.
Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted November 14, 2005 For any Ramones fans, I can strongly recommend the documentary about them called "End of the Century". Insightful, tragic, at times hilarious. Any of the four could have died by now, and it's probably just dumb luck Tommy hasn't joined his bandmates in the backstage area in the sky yet. Interesting nomination, we'll ensure he gets discussed at the 2006 DL selection meeting.

A bit like the The Pretenders, who managed to lose 1/2 their original line up in two days. The deaths did not occur within 2 days of each other. The sequence of events was as follows: 14th June 1982: Pete Farndon fired because of drug problem 16th June 1982: James Honeyman-Scott dies of drug overdose 14th April 1983: Pete Farndon found dead in his bath (drug overdose) Thought that needed clearing up! Phantom 2,533 Posted January 19, 2006 Tommy Ramone is currently working on a solo album But then again Joey was working on a solo album shortly before he departed. Johnny was the only member of the original line-up who retired after the Ramones disbanded. CJ who took over from Dee Dee could be a possible contender, since he managed to release one album by his band Los Gusanos and then broke his leg and was unable to tour to promote the album. So the band split up. I believe his working on another project, but unless he can live successfully off the royalties from the Ramones albums that he was on, chances are he'd probably top himself
